Great place to stay, very close to Yellowstone. The people at the front desk where all very nice. The bed was VERY comfortable!! Nice little town with everything you need available! Don't expect to get pizza delivered to your room tho, but there is a good pizza place a couple blocks from the hotel. I would stay there again! more

We really enjoyed our night at the Yellowstone Village Inn. The unit was very clean and had comfortable beds. There was one bed in the living room and a separate bedroom. The bathroom was also split in two. One room with the toliet and sink, another with the bathtub. The continental breakfast was perfect - bagels, muffins, fruit. I would definitely stay here again. more

This lodge is set back from the road and offers quiet, spacious rooms with a rustic, western theme. The young man at the front desk took time to show me the lodge wood furniture he'd built and explain the technique for finishing, then offered some ideas for attractions when we got back to Bozeman. He also suggested a great place for dinner (the Lighthouse) and gave us some complimentary coupons for the dessert. His friendliness and the cozy decor made a great impression despite some booking issues I'd had on this and a previously postponed reservation. I thought the online rates were a bit steep (especially after some great stays in Cody and Bozeman for much less $) but booked anyway since lodging prices near the park entrances are all pretty high. As it turned out, this young man adjusted our rate to a more palatable amount which left us with a much more favorable impression. [I want to clarify here that I am not aggressive or ill humored towards those providing services. I shared my unfavorable booking experience in a pleasant way and was graciously given a concession...no demanding, no bullying.] All said, this lodge is well priced amonst the competition in Gardiner. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of countertop space in the bath more

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom suites for 3 nights while visiting Yellowstone. The suites are in another building right next to the main building. It was very spacious and clean. The decor was new. It's nothing fancy but very comfortable and clean! The staff was helpful and friendly. There is a continental breakfast available. Gardiner is very convenient to Yellowstone because it is right on the outside of the north entrance instead of a couple hours away like some of the other towns around Yellowstone. The town has several restaurants and a small downtown area with shops, grocery store, gas station and bars. The hotel is within a half mile of town. The pool was nice. There was a laundry facility, a volleyball net and basketball hoop. more

Being located just 5 miles from the north entrance to Yellowstone is a plus for this hotel. It was so close, we felt like we could go into the park in the early morning, pop back to our room to rest mid-day and go back into the park in the afternoon. The room we had was basic but very clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was simple... coffee/tea, juice, toast and muffins but OK. And, one evening, a small group of elk appeared on the hotel lawn in front..wonderful! more

We stayed here for 3 night. The staff was very nice & helpful with anything we came to them with. very clean and nice hot water for the shower/tub. the mattress was a little soft for my liking but i would definently stay here again. The one thing I wish they had was a regular breakfast with eggs/waffle maker. They had a continental breakfast with tasty muffins and bagels. I just would like a bigger breakfast. they had a fridge in the room which is very nice to have since we packed lunches in a small cooler for trips into Yellowstone. more

We woke up one morning and had a buffalo right outside our window! This is a must stay at hotel when traveling to Yellowstone National Park. We will be back soon! The front desk staff called us by name and were very good to my kids. more

We wanted to see lots of wildlife so we stayed in Gardiner which is near the Lemar Valley. I chose this hotel based on reviews and was not disappointed. The hotel has just been remodeled and was beyond clean. I am sensitive to bad smells and I was so comfortable in this inn. I loved the decor and cleanliness. The coffee was hot and ready by 5am. Breakfast was basic, but all I wanted was hot coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is truly a family owned and run operation which is refreshing. I will definitely stay here again and bring my family. more

Thank you to Maria who really helped us 6/5/2012

Thank you to Maria who really helped us rescue what was left of our vacation. She went above and beyond to help us. The Yellowstone Village Inn was a great pick! Our trip to Yellowstone turned out to be amazing after all. Thanks again YVI! more

very clean and cozy 5/30/2012

What a relief, after hours on a plane and four hours in a car, when we pulled up to the Yellowstone Village Inn. It was very clean and cozy. I loved the John Wayne pic in our room. My only regret is that we just spent one night here. more

exceeded our expectations 5/25/2012

For a Mom and Pop shop, that is where to stop. Out of all the other hotels, they exceeded our expectations. Wanda and Terry opened the doors together with smiles on their faces. They welcomed us into their place. And they are family friendly. I would rate them #1 in the area. It was our anniversary and they provided a very romantic atmosphere. We are looking forward to seeing them again soon. more

really enjoyed our time 5/22/2012

This is such a cute place. The room was extremely clean and nice, the location is good (pretty close to the Yellowstone park entrance) and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is decent - we really enjoyed our time there! more

thank you 5/18/2012

This message is to thank you for having a clean, and well run motel. Too often when making arrangements on the internet, you get to your destination and your accommodations are less than desired. We were pleased to find our room was fresh and clean. Hopefully we can come again next year. Thanks Again Steve and Margaret more

spotless 5/15/2012

Wouldn't stay anywhere else! Condo was spotless and updated. Great location with best views of Yellowstone Park Gateway Arch. They treated us like family... We'll definately stay there again. more

greatly appreciated 5/11/2012

We were rather frazzled when we checked in due to an unexpected illness before leaving on this trip. We had a miscommunication with scheduling, on our part. The staff worked with us and were very accomodating in helping solve it. We cannot thank them enough for working with us. It was greatly appreciated. more

fantastic place to stay 5/8/2012

Yellowstone Village Inn is a fantastic place to stay if you are at the North entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We are here working on this side of the country for a few days and so appreciate having a comfortable, clean, family run place to stay when we have been out photographing all day. Three generations working under one roof. Support the locals! We love you Yellowstone Village Inn! more

enjoyed our stay 5/2/2012

The Hotel/Motel is situated at the outer edge of the town of Gardiner about 3/4 mile from the historic north entrance to the Yellowstone National Park. The main buidling of the hotel consists of ground floor and first floor. We have a room on the first floor with a view of the mountains which looked great at sunrise. Our room was carpted and very clean, had two queen size beds, air condition, big screen satellite TV, small fridge, telephone, wash basin, small table and two chairs, a bathroom with shower and bath. Beds were comfortable and linen and towels very clean. There is a laundry room on the ground floor with slot machines to buy powder. Washer and dryer needed coins but they were very reasonably priced. There are ample car park spaces, an indoor pool, a cold drink machine. The breakfast -room is compatively small. Breakfast is continental (toast, muffins, juices, tea, coffee, apples, jams, soft cheese-no cereals but there is a well stockt supermarket witin walking distancef. We enjoyed our stay and found the owner very friendly and informative about the best places to visit and where to go for spotting wildlife and where best to eat. We recommend the place and are happy to go back. more

very clean and quiet 4/23/2012

We stayed in a condo here. It was very clean and quiet. This motel sits near the edge of town, but still close to everything. We bought groceries down the street and used the kitchen for several meals. The only complaint we had was the plastic blinds let through the security light from the porch. There was no control for that light. It made the entire condo bright all night. more

great views 4/16/2012

We were greated by a very friendly staff. They provided thorough information about the hotel and the town of Gardiner. The rooms were recently renovated, The Hotel was very clean. They are conveniently located next to the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. From it's elevated location you have great views of the Yellowstone River and Mountains. After a long day of visiting the park it was nice to get back to the hotel and enjoy a swim in the heated pool. They provided a light continental breakfast. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. If we return to Yellowstone we would stay again. :o) more
