Yellow Cab

I generally take Yellow Cab every day, to and from work on 41st.\r (I take them over the Blue and White or the Orange because their drivers generally know the area (i.e) don't need a GPS to find the road and they speak English...This driver was not one of the good ones on both those counts...) \r The trip usually costs me 10.25, exactly. Anyhow, this morning I call for a cab and the cab arrives in the back of the building... I don't know why they would pick anyone up at the back of the building but the cabbie (driver 511) called and sounded very irritated that I was not there (I was waiting by the front door, imagine that!)\r So he drives around the front and I get in. He turns the meter on before even asking where I was going and proceeds to drive aimlessly around the lot before turning around and exiting the lot...he already had the meter up to 3.00 because of that. Then he didn't know how to get to NB I-5 from 41st street. So, I directed him how to get on the freeway northbound. Then I give him detailed directions on how to get to my house and he proceeds to ignore me and go the wrong way. As soon as he turns the wrong way, I informed him I would not be paying more than 11.00 just because he went the wrong way. He turned the cab around and went the way I told him to, telling me I should learn to give better directions, and pulled up in front of my house. Not even into the driveway. I gave him the 11.00 (which was already more than I should've paid) and he locked me in his car with the meter still ticking away. Needless to say, I freaked out! I am a young lady and he locked me in his vehicle after I paid him. I called dispatch and they told him to let me out or they would call the police. He let me out and cursed at me before peeling out and racing away. I don't know what third-world country he comes from...but around here we don't falsely imprison people! And the cab company doesn't care to get rid of these cabbies because they make their money by the cabbies renting their cabs. IF you take Yellow Cab, make sure to tell them you do NOT want driver 511!!!! If they won't fire him at least I can make sure he gets less business! Say NO to Driver 511!!!!!!! more
