The Yellow Balloon is predominantly a hair salon for kids although they will cut an adults hair as well. Employees are great with making kids feel comfortable (especially if it is their first time getting a trim). Shops are kid friendly with games and of course the offering of a yellow balloon before leaving. Prices are also reasonable. more

Can't beat the prices and services 9/9/2005

I love the Yellow Balloon. My son got his first haircut there and we have been going ever since. In fact now, the whole family goes. From hair extensions to hair straightening, to color and cuts, my stylist Julie does it all and well and super cheap, it's the best kept secret. more

Yellow Balloon 8/6/2005

It's really very hit or miss at this popular Santa Monica childrens salon. At times we have received great quick kids cuts, and at other times, we got very inexperienced haircutters that did not seem that interested or experienced in kids at all. The plus is that they offer free balloons and late night appointments, so as a last minute hair appointment it fits the bill. more
