Ye Olde Flower Shoppe

To our Customers of 38 years and the future customers, This is an example of cyber-bullying...everyone knows that a business cannot last 38 years unless they are doing things right! This young girl, who's father is in criminal justice, thinks that she can bully everyone around her. When she called back to book her wedding, I told her that another young lady had already booked us this weekend and left a deposit. Since I was due to have heart surgery at sometime this last summer, we were only taking one wedding a weekend. I told her this also so the sooner the better for booking. She tried to get me to change my mind 2 more times...I just did not feel well enough to take on two weddings, it was unfair to ask my staff to do so. When I was in the hospital having pre surgery tests, this girl cornered my 84 year old mother and begged for her help. My mother felt sorry for the girl and said that she would do it... This young lady's mother came to pick up the flowers, since the wedding was 90 miles away, signed the statement saying it was what they ordered and it was fresh (we have to do this nowadays, especially if they are traveling with the flowers). Then we get a trash talking call from the young lady...after listening for 50 or so minutes of cuss words, my mother told the girl to bring back the bouquet and she would get all you money back..that was answered by more screaming. The bouquet was less than $70. Then our wonderful business has been cyber bullied from that day forward...this young lady even waited until I went into heart surgery to come into our shop to yell and cuss at my 84 year old mother...a customer that came into our shop had to ask her to leave or he was going to call the police. This has been a nightmare..I tried not to answer back but she and her family have virtually ruined our three generation business. Finally, she received her money back and she is still trash talking and bullying. more

I recently found this shop, and I'm glad that I did. The staff were all so nice and they had a wonderful selection of flowers. The arrangement I bought had a mix of summer flowers with a big, beautiful sunflower right in the center and it lasted for weeks on my dining room table. I don't think I've ever received fresher flowers. I only wish they had a selection of arrangements to choose from when you walk in, but it's a fair trade off for what I got. I highly recommend this shop. more

I had an absolutely AWFUL experience with this flower shop and the two ladies who run it. They told me they would do the flowers for my wedding, and then I called them back 2 days later to set up appointments to meet and they told me they booked another wedding that day and could no longer do my flowers. We changed a few details of the wedding and found ourselves only needing 5 corsages and a bridal bouquet, so the older lady gladly took my order and said she would have no problem making the flowers for me. Two days before the wedding, we picked the flowers up and they looked NOTHING like what we had discussed. She previously said she would order 12 to 14 flowers to make my bouquet large, but for some reason only ordered 10 so she tried to make it work with too few of flowers. There was cotton showing all around the bottom of the bouquet and it was completely unusable. When we called them to try to see if they had any extra flowers or could somehow fix it, they were completely unprofessional to us and acted like they did not care at all if their customer was happy. One lady blatantly told us she knew the flowers were not going to look good when the other lady took the order, but she did not find it necessary to tell us. They would not listen to anything we had to say over the phone and even put the phone down while we were in the middle of discussing the problems. They said we would get a complimentary toss bouquet, but did not give us one and we ended up having to purchase one somewhere else. We had to spend double the original price to rush to get the flowers fixed at a DIFFERENT flower shop. They had blatant disregard for our customer satisfaction and the reputation of their business. They did not stand behind their word or their work and did not seem to care that I was very distraught about the entire situation. I would NEVER go to them for any flowers again and I recommend that NO ONE ever use them. more

I have recieved flowers from Ye Olde Flower shop several times as gifts. They were beautiful, they looked so fresh and lasted for over a week without loosing petals or wilting. The vase was gorgeous and the delivery person was so nice. I would definately buy flowers from them for any occasion. more
