Yarnery

The Yarnery is a great store because of its vast selection. There are floor to ceiling cubbies filled with unusual, hard to find, and sometimes downright expensive yarns. There are samples for virtually every yarn they carry. This is the place to go for your 100% silk or hand-dyed yarn. The staff at the Yarnery is a bit underwhelming, though. They didn't ask me if I needed help until I was in the store for almost 10 minutes. In such a small store, it is hard to notice a person enter! more

With the craze of knitting and yarn crafts surging, the Yarnery is a great local spot to find a beautiful array of unique, quality & richly hued yarns. In a small house on Grand Ave, thats been converted into a business, the Yarnery is a bit cramped. But their selection of fine wools, cashmeres, acrylics, etc, is beyond belief. When you walk in you'll think you've stepped into Oz, because the colors of the rainbow are all around you, and swirl your mind & imagination. Though the prices are steeper for yarn at the Yarnery then what you'll pay at say Michaels, it's all about the quality. You won't find at Michaels the kind of skeins you'll get at the Yarnery. There are so many to choose from that it could take you a day just to go through every room. For first time yarners or experienced pros, it's definitely worth looking into. more

The Yarnery is located on Grand Ave. in St. Paul across from Billy's Restaurant. The Yarnery is a great place to shop for yarn. The staff is very knowledgeable and always willing to help. The Yarnery has a great selection of yarns, notions and pattern books. The Yarnery also offers classes for all levels of knitters. The staff is available during the week for knitters to drop in with questions or problems with items they are currently working on. Check out this great store! more

This store has a wonderful selection of quality yarn and products. It was the first knitting shop that I visited and I became a regular. The store is small but full of quality yarn and the staff is nice and willing to answer questions. The store offers classes from beginner on up and the prices are reasonable. more

For knitters and crocheters, The Yarnery is a great place to find tons of different yarns for craft projects. The prices are a little high, but patrons of this business are guaranteed to find a large variety of different yarns to make their knitting or crocheting experience more enjoyable. The staff are friendly, and its location in the heart of the Grand Avenue district is fabulous. more
