All reviews seem positive

Yang Chow has some yummy dishes 8/6/2008

I loved the szechuan beef in orange peel sauce! Yum! we had a few other dishes that were good(Chicken with cashews, a shrimp dish and chow mein) . But def worth a stop when you are hungry! Portions are large and reasonably priced. Prob top 5 chinese food in the valley. Not authentic but tasty! And service was very good. Quick and efficient. Pros: good food, large portions, not overpriced. Cons: some dishes were just okay more

Sesame Cold Noodles - Enough Said 10/25/2007

An amazing find. Although a common dish in NY it is hard, if not impossible, to find here. I've sampled a few other dishes from Yang Chow but only a limited number because no matter what I plan on ordering I usually get the the sesame cold noodles. I've also never had a sit down meal there but the staff is always very friendly when I come to pick up my order. Good place. Pros: sesame cold noodles, polite staff, ready in 10-15 if you call ahead Cons: a little expensive but worth the money when you are in the mood more

Great Chinese Food... Oustanding Service! 3/24/2007

After hearing from a few people that this restaurant had great food, I had to try it out. We went on a Saturday and only had a 10 minute wait. The service was AMAZING and the staff was friendly and helpful. I have to recommend the slippery shrimp, it was fabulous! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves great Chinese food! Pros: service, friendly staff Cons: can't think of any! more

Mediocre Americanized Chinese Food 10/2/2006

Very disappointing and not authentic at all. I think Panda Express probably does a better job. Service is so-so, and the food is not very good. The price is also expensive for what you get. Pros: No wait Cons: Bad food, high price more

Best Chinese I've found in LA yet 4/4/2006

I've had Chinese all over LA, and YC is among the best, just like the dozen+ Zagat (etc.) awards on in their lobby promise. Unbeatable service combined with ""perfect"" Chinese food won my heart on the first visit. Fave dishes: Slippery Shrimp (they literally are famous for this one), Dry Sautéed String Beans w/Minced Pork, Shrimp Fried Rice, Sechuan Chicken w/Orange Peel Sauce (lots of peanut butter in this one-- unforgettable taste). Everything I've tried has been great. The decor is a bit bland/lacking, but who cares when the food is this good?! Pros: Food, never much of a wait, Service is awesome Cons: No Delivery?!, Parking is a pain, Wooden chopsticks? more

Best Chinese I've Had In Los Angeles 10/31/2005

If you've read my other reviews you'll notice a trend, a search for NY Style food in Los Angeles, and Yang Chow is no exception. I first heard about Yang Chow on a local weekend talk radio show. The guy went on and on about the Cold Sesame Noodles and not having had that since I left NY I figured I would check it out. I've only had a few dishes but everything has been amazing. I strongly recommend the fried dumplings, cold noodles, and chicken fried rice. They are basic dishes but its a skill to get them just right. They dont have Sesame Chicken and the Wonton Soup is a little different from most restaurants back east but I would definitely check this place out if you are a good, sit-down or take-out, dinner. Pros: Tastes Great, Fast/Good Service, OK Pricing Cons: No Sesame Chicken, Eh Wonton Soup more
