Authentic 5/10/2010

My fiancé’s son, Anthony, took us to this great little spot for dinner one evening. I experienced something called oyakodon chopped chicken and egg rice bowl. Honestly this one of the best tastes I have ever had. The chicken had wonderful flavor and all together was just one of those real hearty, feel good dishes. Everyone else at the table seemed very happy with their meals as well. I highly recommend this wonderful little “hole in the wall” restaurant. Pros: Authentic Japanese food, excellent flavors more

Authentic Japanese Restaurant with great food and service. 10/26/2008

Yakitori Jinbei is officially my favorite Japanese Restaurant in the USA. Im Japanese and have lived in Nagoya for 17+ years, and have yet to discover a more authentic restaurant here stateside. The restaurant itself is a bit hidden and small, but as I always say, ""the hole in the wall places are your best."" \r \r The food is excellent, and you can pick from Yakitori, Okonomiyaki, Curry, Sushi, Oyako don, etc etc- and the list goes on. So if youre goingfor the REAL authentic taste, go to Yakitori Jinbei- or if you'd rather impress your other half, go to the fake 5 star ""hibachi"" grills that are nowhere like Japanese food.\r \r Pros: Authentic A+++ food Cons: tucked away on a busy intersection more

Scrumptious! Authentic Yakitori in Atlanta 5/5/2006

Their Yakitori was excellent! It was same Yakitori that I had in Japan. I heard the chef has 30 year experiance in cooking and he serves many different variety of Yakitoris. Besides Yakitori, I highly recommand their Tonkotu-Ramen. It was great! soup and noodle were very teasty. And the Texture of Japanese noodle is very different from western noodle. Japanese noodle has firm, silky smooth , and non sticky texture. I also recommend ""Jinbei Sushi Roll""! It looks very creative and goluptious ! If you have children, they will love the place. more

Definitely Worth a Visit 5/5/2006

The server remembered us upon our second visit. Perhaps some staffers have really heavy accents (see first review), but our server's accent was so slight I asked if she grew up in the States. She had only been here for a couple of years and didn't really study English before then. I was amazed, and she was flattered. Anyway, I found the service to be very friendly, the sushi quite good (I'm not a yakitori aficionado and cannot give a good critique), and the atmosphere comfortable. I'd say it's easily on par with a joint like Rusan's, though the atmosphere is quite different. I'll be going back fairly regularly. Pros: Friendly service, Good food more

Only Authentic Yakitori Pub in Atlanta 4/13/2005

Only place in Atlanta stubborn to cook the meats in traditional Yakitori pub way, special charcoal imported from Japan ""Binchoutan"" charcaol made from 40 year old oak tree. The yakitori sauce is tasty and sweet like teriyaki sauce, but sea salt brings out the flavor of each item without killing the flavor. Katsudon here is the best in town, large pork cutlet fried in fresh oil, then cooked in stock and vegetable served over rice. Although the food here is excellent, just watch out for things they say... only if everyone who visits can understand Japanese... Although the food is overpriced, it's well worth the trip and try the authetic yakitori. Pros: Good Food, Large parking, authentic Cons: bad mouth, poor service, poor English more
