Yakima Cinema

One of the best things about this location is that it is right off of the freeway, meaning that it's easy to get in and easy to get out. Don't expect enormous screens or real butter on your popcorn. I find the prices a bit painful and recommend seeing a matinee, especially to avoid the crowds at other times--there aren't a lot of things for young people to do in this town. There is about as much security here at the door as there is at the airport, and they will confiscate food that you bring in (but you get it back when you leave) unless you buy things that you can hide in places that they will not check, and considering the price of some of the snacks, I'm not sure I would blame you. The young people who work here are courteous, so it's not so bad when they search your purses, et cetera. more

Not too bad of a theater. Has obligatory sticky floors, popcorn-covered seats, surly staff of no-older-than-17 year olds. Seating prices are a bit high, and they never really have that many great movies to choose from. Still, it's right off the interstate and it's not like Yakima has a whole lot going for it. Check out a matinee and save yourself $5 more
