wonderful resource if you don't have reliable babysitters during the day. The drop-in is licensed and my kids both enjoyed going there.

A Little Out of Date, But Still Good 7/25/2005

The YMCA has a variety of activities inside. Including kids pool, adults pool, kids play area, gym, afterschool kids area, and conference rooms for events. Yhe building is a little and could be updated as well things added. But over all it is nice inside. The prices are a little much, especially if you live just outside of the city compared to inside the city. Maybe they could offer some deals or promotions for kids in the summer. more

  • Established in 1888, the Appleton YMCA offers a range of social and recreational services and programs for children, families and communities. The organization conducts fitness and group indoor cycling classes. It also provides instruction in Pilates, swimming and yoga. The Appleton YMCA features a gymnasium and pool. It additionally administers various water fitness classes. The organization provides opportunities for members to participate in basketball. In addition, the Appleton YMCA operates drop-in child care and family fun centers. It is a part of the YMCA of the Fox Cities, which is a nonprofit, Christian-based organization that promotes several youth, adult and family activities.
