Xaverian High School 8/12/2006

My son did very well here. He was an average student when he arrived and graduated with three years in the National Honor Society. He was encouraged to try a musical instrument and under the guidance of the former principal who still teaches there, he choose the bagpipes. I was stunned, but he really took to it and has since become an expert. He became the Pipe Major for Xaverian in his Senior year, they played at Lincoln Center one night; and he got a scholarship to college for the pipes! I was very pleased. more

High End Education 5/30/2006

I sent my son here for his high school education. This is one of the "better" private high schools in Brooklyn, offering some tough courses and a highly competitive structure in order to prepare kids for the real world. This school is not cheap. But the facilities they have, the quality of education they offer can not be compared to in any other school in Brooklyn. The calibre of the average student is a bit on the "high end" as well, and "snobbery" is rampant on many levels. But the hard working student will fair really well and this school will prep them for any choice college they want to go to. A good place to send your child for a quality education if you have the funding. more
