My experience with Dr. deHaro has, both times, been lacking depth, patience, and useful information. Our first visit with him was by way of interview for a pediatrician before our son was born. Dr. deHaro was either unable, or unwilling to answer questions of any depth and importance to us. He deferred all controversial questions regarding breastfeeding, circumcision, vaccinations, etc. to his assistant and then ignored us for the rest of the interview in an attempt to avoid our more thoughtful line of questioning. Our next visit, with our son (because Dr. Marshall was not available) was phenomenally disappointing. I (27 year old, female, former teacher) was told that my questioning the immediate use of antibiotics for my 5.5 month old's ear pain was not appropriate because "we use safe medicines, and I have been doing this as long as you've been alive." period.
