Horrifying!!!! 5/10/2012

So small and expensive, I suggest anyone check out Park Club Apartments instead, it is about the same price with so many more benefits!!! And they are practically right next to each other. I paid $708 per month for a 1 bedroom and now I pay $798 for a 2 bedroom at www.parkclubaptscom. Also, they are shady in their business dealings. They included in 2 sentences in the lease that you need 45 days in written notice to move out even if the lease has a specific date of move out. I turned in the keys paid in full and on time and was told I need to pay 45 days additional rent bc my notice of move out was verbal. Then when I disputed this, they said write a letter bc it has one owner and there is no way other than writing to reach the owner. I wrote the letter the next day and it was promptly disregarded and never reviewed by the ""owner"". When I called to follow up I was treated like a degenerate even though I paid in full and on time every month. I was then hung up on by the same person who told me to write the letter in the first place when I called to follow up. I did contact the leasing company 60 days prior to my move out date to let them know verbally that I was moving out on my apartment on the lease move out date, and they said thanks for the call and this would be noted in my file. DO NOT RENT HERE, they will do everything in their power to take as much money as possible from you knowing full well that there is no one who will help you. I gave them almost $5,000 over 8 month and have never been more disappointed in the way I have been treated. There are so many other apartments that can meet your needs in the area for a fair price without shady dealing and lack of effective oversight. Also, when my apartment smelled of the previous tenants cooking I called 12 times to ask for help and was told to figure it out, costing me $57 in cleaning supplies. DO NOT MOVE HERE, THEY WILL SCREW YOU!!! And I only choose one star bc there was not an option for 0 stars. more

Not recommended 2/25/2012

Here are the facts: I have had an ongoing issue with a neighbor who smokes an exorbitant amount of weed. This has been going on for almost a year. During that time, the office said ""there is nothing we can do."" Finally around Christmas I asked, really, there is nothing you can do?"" To which the reply was laughing saying, its like cigarettes, and we can't tell someone to not smoke cigarettes. Really? Pot is like cigarettes, interesting. Now that the owner is involved I have seen some progress. I really hope that after a year of ""there is nothing we can do"" something will be done. If this was a maintenance issue, yes it would have been fixed already. Overall, I can't give a positive review for this place, I wish I could because they would pay me $5. The big rocks around the complex are obnoxious and residents back into the larger ones (I have seen it have a few times), so be careful of the annoying rocks if you move here. more

Quality Apartment, Highly Recommend 11/30/2011

I only moved out Worthington Ridge apartments after purchasing a house. I am very glad I chose this as a place to live. Moved in Feb 2011, moved out Oct 2011. It certainly costs more to live there than some other places but you get what you pay for. The complex is kept clean, the driveways are in very good condition and maintained, the buildings are in good condition, and the residents tend to mind their own business. I did have a neighbor move in below me that played very loud music at all hours off and on. I filed a complaint and the music stopped by the time I got back from a work trip a few days later and never started again. So they are responsive to complaints, although that was my one. The maintenance is very responsive as well. He always came out within minutes of me letting the office know of an issue. Even for small issues he came right out. Worst wait was the next day because he did not have the parts he needed to replaces a leak in the kitchen faucet. He replaced the whole thing the next morning. They never accused me of causing damage and very few items had any issue. They do give deals for signing for a year long lease. I had a good deal the first year and the second year the deal was not as good, but it was there. I went month to month since I knew I would moving to a house within that year. The garages are $35 a month extra, $50 if month to month. They do not have electric in them though, and they are not attached. Only down side to them. They did stay dry all year in them and a lot of people use them for storage. The first year I was paying $660 for rent+garage. Month to month was $808 for rent+garage. Must pay by check. No credit card. The biggest down sides were the windows and the air conditioner. The windows might as well not even be there. They are extremely inefficient. Hanging curtains does help, but they need upgraded badly. They let in all the noise and let out all your heat and air conditioning. The rest of the walls and floor are insulated very well, you will not hear your neighbor, not even their dog! The air conditioner is rather inefficient as well. I am sure they bought about the cheapest they could get. Will cause the electric bill to go up. It is all electric, and it does come with a washer and drier, a huge plus. My electric bill ranged from $100 to $250 a month. Now the high bill was August and I was working nights so the air conditioner can all day. This past summer max was around $160 because I was working days. Th water/trash/sewer are built into the rent, but cost and additional $20 per month. The heat, air conditioner, and hot water tank are NOT shared. Each unit has all of its own utilities. The water is hot and stays hot for a long time. The bottom line is that if you can afford to live here you should at least go see the place. The staff was always nice, even when I was leaving or had an issue. It was a clean, safe feeling place to live. Today I received my full deposit, $300. I left the place in a little cleaner condition than I got it and they did not charge me those phantom charges people talk about. Those who complained are the ones who were kicked out after being disruptive. I thank the staff for keeping these people out. more

You can't beat it for the price! 4/6/2011

Worthington Ridge is a very reasonable priced apartment complex in a quiet neighborhood that is close to many conveniences. With a friendly and helpful staff, it does a great job keeping up with maintenance and repairs and is quick to respond to a service need. The monthly rent includes water and a full size washer and dryer. For the price, you can’t beat it! more

Great place to live! 4/4/2011

I have lived at Worthington Ridge for 9 months. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful! Maintenance is always quick to resolve an issue and the is always a parking spot right outside my door. If you're thinking of moving to the Worthington area, I would highly recommend checking out Worthington Ridge! more

It's A GOOD PLACE OVERALL 3/14/2011

Great location! Most residents are middle class working people. Wonderful full size washer and dryers in your own apartment. Nicely landscaped. We never run out of hot water. Clean, relatively quite. Lived here over a year. Safe environment, well lite up. Parking could be handled better, but it is not a show stopped, everybody can't park at there front door. Might have to walk a little bit. Having lived in other places around the country from Illinois, Wisconsin, Maine and Florida to name a few - this is head and shoulders above other locations. Fully furnished kitchen with excellent dishwasher a real plus. Some of us would like to see a stricker enforcement of rules - if your not from the complex or visiting someone here you don't belong in the pool. more

GOD AWFUL!!! 6/10/2009

As a former renter I feel it is my duty as an American to inform all prospective renters of the loss of freedom and dignity that potentially lies ahead. First and foremost if you are looking for a hot shower you are better off bathing in the Olentangy River you will at least have more than 3 minutes of semi-warmth there. Secondly you need to be aware that the 4ft deep pool is off limits to anyone who is unwilling to undergo Military style interrogations, intimidation and verbal assualt methods conducted thouroughly and always on schedule by the Neo controlled rental center employees who will most certainly treat you worse than the drowned varmints who were also suckered in to the never ending ses pool that is Worthington Ridge Apartments. On a side not Should you be actually considering renting here you will need a psychiatrist, a very good one. You will need a way to vent your imminent anger against those who constantly seek to make your day(or evening) the worst possible. If you would like to see the an actual circus sideshow live then I would recommend visiting the mullett-gunner at the pool. If you would like to live your life in freedom...seek rental elsewhere. Pros: You get to sleep in your own bed Cons: Horrible Management more

HORRIBLE PLACE 6/7/2009

Rental office people are incredibly disrespectful to their tenants, you have no freedom to live peace fully. They are very strict. They constantly harass you if you break any rules in the slightest bit. You pay way more money than what you should be paying. They are completely unfair to pet owners. Apartments hot water last for exactly 8 minutes. It's moldy, large insects always appear, and the carpet is cheap. I DO NOT recommend living here. It is a waste of your time and most of all your money. more

find someplace else! 2/27/2009

landlord does bare-minimum in repairs. sometimes i am treated rudely for suggesting repairs (like spraying for the HUGE spiders that build their webs across the front door every fall). centipede problem. NEVER salts or shovels in winter. will continually raise your rent if you don't re-sign your lease. advertises any time-dollars and you think you're getting a good deal until you don't want to renew your lease and your rent hikes up 100 dollars a month! windows totally inefficient. breeze comes through and constant precipitation, causing mold. master bedroom always freezing in the winter because the room is too large for the one vent. cheapest carpet installed (looks horrible now after living on it for 3 years). only good thing is large walk-in closet in master bedroom and located close to kroger and shopping and nice trees. this apartment floor-plan is all over this area. i highly suggest going with another landlord. Pros: good location Cons: windows, winter resposibilities, over-all uncaring staff more
