If I could add more stars I would!!\r I have been a patient of Dr. Debonis's for almost 15 years. I would not go to any other dentist. Dr Debonis saved four of my molars by creating overlays. A friend of mine who is an Orthodontist saw the work and commented that they were the best overlays he had ever seen!\r \r Everyone at the office is always so kind and accommodating. Best Dentist practice in the city! more

Excellent dentist! Just had work done on a broken tooth - the restoration work Dr. DeBonis did was very skillfully done. We have been using Dr. DeBonis' services for a few decades. Even when we were in London, we would return for our dental check-ups. Dr. DeBonis is very thorough and takes great care in thinking through the least intrusive, but effective way to address dental issues. I have poor teeth and am extremely sensitive to pain. I would not dream of going to another dentist. His staff is great, too. more

Dr. DeBonis is someone I'd definitely look to for advice and help if there's something funny about my teeth. Him being my dentist for over 25 years, I would never look for another person to take care of my teeth. He's very kind, down-to-earth and most certainly knows what he is doing. As someone with cavity-prone teeth, finding a dentist who provides constructive, motivating advice and care - instead of just a laundry list of my dental care sins - has always been a challenge for me. During my first appointment (on a Saturday, which is a lifesaver given my work schedule), Dr. DeBonis took the time to clean my teeth himself and explain what I should focus on to improve my daily habits. Prior to finding Dr. De Bonis, I navigated the maze of dentist offices in NYC. I continually felt like I didn?t know if I was getting the best service or if I could trust the advice that my dentist was giving me. Of all the health care (dental or otherwise) I have ever received in NYC, Dr. D?s office has been exceptional. He is genuinely invested in giving me the highest quality care. Every time I leave Dr. D?s office, I feel like he has empowered me with information about how I can take care of my teeth. He gives me honest feedback and always presents options for things I can do if I have a dental issue. A co-worker referred me to Dr. DeBonis back in 2007 and I've been loyal ever since that first visit when Dr. D and his assistant Val took the time to not only get to know my teeth and dental history, but also me and my interests. And they remember what you tell them; every visit I make they ask about my partner and my professional life, and I ask about theirs in return. I don't know what I'll do if I ever leave NY. Probably come back every 6 months just to have my check-ups with Dr. D's team! I've been so pleased with Dr. D's practice that I've in turn referred many a new co-worker seeking a dentist and they've all come back to thank me profusely for recommending such an attentive, fun atmosphere for their dental care and sometimes dental woes. What strikes me about Dr. D's practice is the level of individualized care and attention they pay not just to your smile, but to you as a whole person, a quality that has persisted over the years. They've seen me through my first root canal after a freak accident that resulted in a facial injury and aggravated nerve in a back molar. And I'm almost done with the Invisalign process which has my teeth finally straightened out and looking better than ever. Through all of this, Dr. D has always taken the time to explain in great detail via diagrams and models what is going on with my teeth and bite. And if you're on top of your brushing and flossing, you might just end up in the running for ""best smile of the month""! more

I was referred to Dr. DeBonis in 2004 by my prior dentist when I moved to NYC. I remember at first I was reluctant to try his practice because he wasn't ""in-network"" for me. I wasn't sure if it would be worth any extra cost I might pay beyond insurance. However, not having another rec, I did visit Dr. DeBonis, and I couldn't have been happier! I've been a satisfied patient there for the past 7 years! Four things stand out for me: First, they have a reliably meticulous approach to cleanings and more complex procedures (I had a root canal done there). Second, the whole team is warm and attentive. Their level of personal attention makes it feel almost like a ""dental spa!"" Third, I like that Dr. DeBonis and his assistants are actively/intelligently engaged with patients' lives, world news, NYC cultural events, etc. Not required but reassuring! Finally, I feel the practice is fair in its operations. If I have ever expressed any concerns re costs or necessary procedures, the conversation/solution that followed was always thoughtful, respectful, considerate and fair. Overall, a great Dr. and a great practice! more

The first time I went to see Dr. DeBonis was in an emergency situation - I had just moved and didn't have a dentist and my brother-in-law recommended Dr. DeBonis. What made this exceptional is that the Dr. was willing to see me, a new patient, at 4:30pm on the day before Thanksgiving. I have been a dedicated patient ever since and recommend the Dr. to anyone and everyone. more

I have been cared for by Dr. Will DeBonis and his wonderful staff for nearly 20 years. From the first moment I came to see him (had a toothache at work and was referred by a friend), I was grateful for the care, kindness and professionalism with which I was treated. Dr. DeBonis is one of the few doctors I've ever known who has repeatedly gone out of his way to help me, to put my needs first, and to ask me to be part of the process (whether it is about x-rays or root canal). I was very happy with the initial work that was done, but what has kept me coming back (and I now live in New Jersey) is the consistency and kindness i have received throughout. One incident that is telling happened early on: I had been sick and had to cancel my appointment. Not expecting to be out very long, I re-scheduled for the following week. When I got to his office that next week, we started to do the work (a filling). Dr. DeBonis noticed that I didn't seem very energetic. He asked if I was feeling okay. I said that I hadn't fully recovered but that I didn't want to cancel again, that I knew his time was valuable. He immediately told me that it was more important for me to feel ready and fully well and that he'd be glad to have me come back the following week. I was relieved because i really hadn't been up for it; but I have rarely met a doctor who was so perceptive and who put my health and comfort clearly above his earnings. Another telling incident was when my niece (who was about 9 years old at the time) was having problems with her teeth (stemming from when she was a baby). She was terrified of dentists and my sister had taken her to about 4 or 5 that ""specialized"" in working with kids. I went with them to the last one they tried and she was shaking in his chair. (I thought he was overly ""sweet"" and phoney myself; but I didn't want to interfere). My sister did NOT want to force her but she was at her wits end as my niece needed dental work badly. I suggested Dr. DeBonis. The end result? They made an appointment to see him and she LOVED him almost immediately - and trusted him enough to do the work that no one else could have done without her going thru hell. (18 years later, she is still his patient.) I have recommended Dr. DeBonis to many friends over the years. Not one has had a complaint. I tell people ""I love my dentist! He is the best and kindest doctor in the world!"" I still feel that way... Doug :o) more

Dr. DeBonis took his time on the initial cleaning (he explained that he takes the time to evaluate every new patient and perform their cleaning) and helped identify problem areas with instructions on how to avoid those issues in the future. I found him to be very thorough and his staff was very professional. He was also very easygoing- which is a plus for someone who doesn't enjoy being at the dentist to begin with. I've been coming here for a number of years and I am very happy with everyone at Worldwide Plaza Dental. I'm not sure I could find another practice that has that ""small town feeling"" here in NYC. Prices are good, care is excellent and they are genuinely concerned about each and every patient, even beyond their teeth! I have recommended them to friends for a long time now. Make an appointment. I have been going to Worldwide Plaza Dental for many years, thanks to the wonderful expertise of services, and just as importantly, the quality of 'beside manner' I need to have to feel genuinely cared about it. My experience has been so positive, that my 7 year old and husband also go. I tend to be a hands on, inquisitive mom, so I value how WWPD has always answered my questions and concerns promptly and thoroughly. I'm also a professional actor, and want/need my teeth to look great. (I once had to have a chipped tooth fixed just prior to an audition...years later, tooth still looks great). I HIGHLY recommend WWPD! more
