Editorial review from Citysearch 11/30/2012

Avoid this place - complete rip-off. We parked on a weekday evening for 2 hours and 25 minutes and were charged $35! Credit cards not allowed. Prices not posted in advance. No deals with nearby merchants/restaurants. Most expensive city parking I have seen. more

Absolutely worst experience in a 6/2/2012

Absolutely worst experience in a parking garage ever. I have called their manager and left a message to speak directly with John Sullivan regarding this horrible experience -- they post NO WHERE upon entry clearly that they are ""cash only"", and my family had to wait in the pouring rain while I ran back to get my ATM card to get cash. I was then RUDELY treated by their parking attendant whom I will report to Mr Sulivan. HORRIBLE parking garage, likely the WORST PARKING GARAGE IN ALL OF BOSTON! ****DO NOT GO HERE!!**** more

STAY AWAY--FEE SCHEDULE NOT POSTED, CASH ONLY 12/5/2011

I was taken advantage by the Worldwide Parking garage. Afte receiving my parking ticket, I found it odd that the rates were not posted but felt their fees would be consistent with other garages in the area. . We spent about 2 1/2 hours on Sunday afternoon and was amazed when I was told of the $35 charge. Tried to pay with credit card and was told payment was cash only. How can anyone operate a business in Boston as cash only and not properly display their fees. My sister and I scrambled for the $35 as we do not carry cash. What would have happened if we did not have the cash. Why does the City of Boston allow a business that gouges the public to operate? more

A disgrace to Freedom Trail 9/9/2009

On labor day wkend a bunch of friends visited Boston. Parking within the city at lots typically run around $12.00 at most $17.00 a day (Copley Square, Boylston, Kenmore, Harvard). When entering this lot I noticed the price table but could not read it as it was below the car level and there was another car waiting behind me to get in. I later found out it's $31.00 for any time above 2.5 hrs and cash only. Come on! The airport is not even that much. Pros: Location Cons: Monopoly pricing more

worst garage ever - would rate 0 stars if possible 3/17/2008

I had the misfortune of parking at this garage on Saturday night - BIG MISTAKE. I arrived at the garage around 6:30pm after searching for street parking for a good 20 mins. I saw a huge sign out front that advertised $17 for parking so I thought to myself, ""okay, its kinda steep, but I just want to park and meet my friends for dinner"" so I decided to park and pay the outrageous fare. I returned to my car at 10pm with a $20 bill in my wallet (just enough for parking and the pike toll). WRONG. I hand the cashier my $20 and he asks me for the remaining $9 - umm, excuse me? Keep in mind that this garage accepts CASH ONLY. I asked the cashier politely if I could pull my car through, park outside and run to the ATM so as not to hold up the long line of cars waiting to exit the garage. The cashier told me that I cannot get through without paying and that there is an ATM inside. I put on the hazards and run to the ATM, all the while throwing apologetic looks to the cars behind me. After a few attempts with my debit card and no dispensed cash, I determine that the ATM doesn't have any cash left in it! I run back to the cashier and explain the situation calmly and ask him, again, if it would be possible to pull my car through, park right outside, run to another ATM and get him the balance. Again, he responds that he cannot let me leave without paying. WTF!? There are only two cashiers checking people out so you can imagine the long line of cars, the expletives and honking - hell, I would be upset if I was in their situation, too. Frantic now, I run to an ATM in Faneuil Hall, type in my pin and the ATM informs me that I have exceeded the number of pin attempts. I am at a loss of what to do at this point and I begin to cry due to an overwhelming feeling of helplessness. I return to this cashier and he finally accepts my license and provides me with a bill for $9. I have never before felt so angry and will never return to this garage. STAY AWAY. Pros: Location Cons: Service, price gouging more

Absolutely the worst parking experience I have ever encountered. 2/18/2008

Sign outside advertised $17 All day...Parked for 2 hours..Gave the attendant a $20 bill and when I inquired about the change she said...""look at your receipt..."" Charge was $20...False advertising at best..Gouging at worst. I would recommend that NO ONE ever use this parking garage...Left a bad taste for Boston...Please DO NOT use this garage. I am going to find additional ways to get the word out to as many as I can. more

Gouge and Userous 6/13/2005

This garage, though located on the edge of Fanuel Hall Marketplace and across from the entrance to the North End, charges outrageous prices for parking, even in the evening, when demand is way down. Their employees are NOT courteous and speak broken English. For $9/hour at night, the price is userous gouging and NOT worth the location or their workers rudeness and problemsome communication. This is a good example why there should be some price control by the City of Boston on these garages. They give Boston a bad name. I'll make sure everyone I know avoids this place. Pros: location, elevator, lighting Cons: price, rudeness, English? more
