World Revival Church

I have been a member of World Revival Church for nearly 9 years. I LOVE this church. The Pastors are genuine & lead by example. They are not afraid to bring you the Word of God, presented it in a manner that many people on many different levels of faith can understand and grow with. Usually, Pastor Steve Gray delivers more than one sermon in a weekend- but it is never the same one. The word is always new, always fresh and timely and ALWAYS biblically contextual. These are not fluffy sermons! THEY WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. The quality does not end with the pulpit. Though this is a fairly large congregation, it keeps a small friendly atmosphere. You will always come into WRC and be greeted with smiling faces that genuinely is glad you are here. My mother in law who visits with us from out of town says that she feels like a celebrity when she walks in because, ""They remember who I am and make a big deal about me being there,"" and she is just an occasional visitor! Most importantly, The Presence of God is genuinely in the house every weekend every service. It is easy to tell by the fruit that is produced every weekend. Just this past weekend a man was healed of lung cancer, verified by Cancer Treatment Center of America in OK. There are so many testimonies each service, it is hard to fit them all in. Its balanced because we are not fixated on miracles, we are fixated on Jesus and the miracles are a byproduct of focusing on Him. The worship is phenomenal and the whole place enters in. LOL- you stand out if you DON'T worship in this place- even the kids are worshiping. There are so many more good things about this place that its too much to put in one post. World Revival Church is such a good church that people move to Kansas City JUST so that they can be a part it. WHO DOES THAT? Someone who's found what they are looking for. This was a very lively church. I brought my two kids (age 11 and 17) and even they said they liked it. There were some different things I am not accustomed to seeing in church, there were a lot of women and young people who spoke pretty well about the Lord and other christian things. The sermon sort of took a knock at christian-religion in general, but not in a bad way, more in a helpful way. I'd never heard that from a preacher before, but I been burned in church, so this was a relief to hear someone address the problems. more

I visited World Revival Church in Kansas City a few weeks ago because I had heard about the ""Revival."" I'm a pretty big skeptic, and I like to check these things out. But I was pleasantly surprised by how un-evangelical it was! It was wonderful to be greeted by so many people who were real, and genuinely interested in making me a friend, and not just a new member! There was no ""one man show"" of healing or crazy kooks coming up to ""give me a word"". The music was lively! Like a concert, and the whole place got into it. Pros: Music, age and racial diversity, very friendly people. Cons: Not any functions for teens or singles, that I could find. Anyone else know? more

World Revival church is the best place ever!. This church is all that I have known and they are very nice. I started going when I was eight years old and have been going ever since then. They have great prasie and worship and very good sermons too. You will enjoy this place with sencire people that are very real. This place has changed my life for the good. more
