I have been a customer of Working Man's for 12 years. The door's to the company were closed in '09 and I felt I lost a good neighborhood store. After dealing with other pool supplier's, it was good to see Working man's open again. That was untill Sat. June 12th. I visited Working man's to purchase 8 jug's of cholrine. The sign outside, viewed from the street is $3.58 a jug. No indication outside of any ""program"" or ""pre pay"" system. After I had the jug's filled, and went to check out, I was charged $4.29 per jug. I was told that the $3.58 was for ""prepaid"" customers. I asked to have the lower price honered since I was unaware, and was expecting to pay what was advertised from the street. The owner Mrs. Janet Williamson quickly made me aware that I was not important to her as a customer by flat refusing to honer anything. I told her that I would not purchase from her, and she asked if I think I could buy cholrine any cheaper from any place else. I told her I was buying it at Bold City Supply for $3.25 a jug. This only made Janet more upset. As a loyal customer, I was willing to pay more from Working Man's because of the relationship over the last 12yrs. I am now a loyal customer of Bold City Suppy. It is just up the road on Normandy blvd, so it is not out of the way, I highly recommend everyone check out the new supplier. I am sorry for the Williamson's, but it is truely time to retire!! As a business owner, once you have lost the customer service attitude, you have lost what it takes to stay in business.
Pros: Other pool suppliers near by
Cons: Need to retire. Too moody to run a company.
