I've gone to Woolf & Woolf once for an eye exam, and they were totally pleasant and professional. BUT it kinda sketches me out that there are a ton of five-star reviews from folks, many within one month of each other, all by people who have never written another Citysearch review. I guess it's possible that Drs. Woolf inspire such loyalty, but it's also possible that there's some Internet sneakiness afoot. Pros: nice people Cons: sketchy online reviews more

First: they have a real credit card machine, but it doesn't print a receipt. That's why they use the old school carbon paper. Second: staff was nice enough to me. I can see where there could be a problem for people who don't treat the staff well. They'll give the doc a hard time, so they won't be afraid to do the same to you. Third: Best eye exam I've ever had. I've always had great vision, but I had a nagging problem with one eye. Other doc's have recommended glasses or told me my vision is fine. He's the ONLY one who recommended contacts. It's a rare vision problem that has caused me to see 2-D my whole life. I now see 3-D and it's changed how I view everything. I can't thank them enough! I just wanted to say that I had a good experience at my visit. The Doctor was very professional and knowledgeable. I read the review about the front desk staff, but I'd already made my appointment. I agree, they're not super-friendly or very helpful. But I went in to see the Doctor, not the front desk ladies. I'll go again - he's worth it. Pros: Good Doctor more

Yesterday I had an exam with Dr. Woolf and I was very pleased. He actually took some time to talk about my eye health and my prescription. The last eye doctor I went through basically just wanted to sell me expensive glasses and then usher me out of the office. I thought that Dr. Woolf was very patient with me and listened well. I recently went to this office and had an overall mediocre experience. The receptionist was rude, the selection was limited and, although polite, the doctor seemed preoccupied and arrogant. I had a good experience with my doctor. They have a good selection of glasses - I was able to find something pretty quickly. A little more $$ than Lens Crafters, but on the other hand, I got glasses that are really high quality and the lenses don't feel like they're about to pop out of the frame. I visited the office about two months ago, but I just found out about Citysearch, so I'm going back and ranking all of the places I've been. I really, really like Dr. Brian. He's friendly, non-pressuring and very good at explaining what's going on in the exam. I've worn glasses since I was four, and this was the first time I felt like I understood what all those machines were doing. I visited them today, and I'm pleased with how things went. Once I went to a opthamologist, and the prescription I walked out with was worse than the one I was wearing. That, plus they overdialated my eyes. Today, I'm happy to report, went much better. Dr. Woolf was super, and he didn't force eyeglasses or a prescription on me. I visited last week, and I was really pleased with the service. I felt that Dr. Woolf was highly intelligent, and their computerized eye checking machine made me feel less stressed about having to guess at which was better, ""1 or 2"". I just moved back from Asia, where I had questionable eye care. In fact, I think my vision actually got worse because of the doctor I had there. Anyhow, I can tell you that I just had the best eye exam of my life with Dr. Brian. He was amazing -- I honestly never thought that I'd be able to see this clearly. You know the fine print on the bottom of billboards that you're not supposed to see? I've got it covered. They use a new computerized machine that actually determines your prescription for you, and then they make sure that the lenses are strong or weak to your liking. Plus, they have a great selection of glasses -- not the generic kind you'll find at stores in the mall. I'm going to send all of my family members, now that I know these guys exist! I can't say enough just how pleased I was with the service I received!! I visited Dr. Brian Woolf, and his exam was very thorough. (1) They have this incredible machine that basically tells the doctor what the prescription is, and then he tweaks it to make sure that it's perfect. (2) Dr. Woolf fitted me for contacts, but I was more interested in getting glasses. Rather than having me look through all 2,000 pairs of glasses they had, he actually recommended five pairs based on the shape of my face, size of my eyes, etc. And I love my new pair! I've gotta say, I've been wearing glasses since I was six, and 30 years later, this is the first time that I've been able to see this clearly. The drawback: All they do is optometry. If only I could get them to do my dental work... Pros: Super High-Tech, No Waiting, Great Exam!!! Cons: Parking wasn't great more
