Look elsewhere 10/31/2022

I placed a very simple order with Woody's Hot Rodz in late May of 2022 for 2 hood springs for my 57. I very clearly stated in the comments box on the order to inform me immediately of any backorders or delays. Instead of notifying me of a delay, they sent ONE hood spring and noted on the invoice that they had only one spring and would send the second one when they were back in stock. Completely understanding a slight backorder, I patiently waited throughout the show season, emailing them again in early August at which time I got the excuse they were running into a problem with their supplier, starting with the 55 hood spring and now the 57. At the end of August, I once again contacted Jared at Woodys and expressed my dissatisfaction for the 3+ month wait and the fact that I had initially asked to be notified of backorders so that I could look elsewhere for parts. Jared's response was another excuse about how the supplier lost employees and a branch of their manufacturing...excuse after excuse, then promised that an order of hood springs was finished and they would be in their warehouse SHORTLY. On October 17, I sent Jared an email and asked him to complete the order immediately or issue a return authorization to return the single hood spring for complete refund. Jared then replied that he got the springs in last week, along with other backordered parts(another sad tale), and he was sending one out from the warehouse TODAY. That was a week and a half ago and I still have no hood spring. Woodys does not care about my small order from over 5 months ago and continues to make excuses for their failure to alert me of backorders and/or offer to cancel/refund my order. Look elsewhere for your parts, there are plenty of other, more reliable and caring companies out there. more

55 hardtop 3/21/2022

Very poor experience with Woodys Hot Rodz. New body complete. Poor quality work, had to cut metal apart and reshape it. Several thousand dollars additional to patch it up and make it even usable. Has been a long and aggravating ordeal. These guys are hacks. more

57 bel air hardtop 11/4/2021

Bought an entire body from Woodys paying over $25K. Paid 50% up front and the remainder prior to shipping. When I received the body, the dash was so poor and rusted thru I could not use it. It was covered up with epoxy trying to hide the quality of it. Dash was slightly tilted as well. I had to use my old dash from my original 57 which was much better quality. Second problem was the trunk area not being aligned correctly. Body work on this took over 15 hours to correct. Several bad alignments throughout the body. Had to cut and align back window and door frame to properly get the quality I thought I was originally getting as a result of dishing out over $25K to Woodys. They would not stand behind their poor craftsmanship. Advice if using Woodys. If you see any imperfections discuss it with them. Even then, I doubt they would stand behind their product. Very disappointed in the amount of work that had to be done to get the body up to the expectations I thought I was going to get by giving Woodys $25K! more

Unreliable 7/28/2021

Ordered parts and paid. Received an empty package that wasnt sealed. They were informed and have received no response at all. Dont buy from them more

Would not recommend 9/12/2017

Arranged for Woody's Hot Rodz to do a modification to my car. Was told it would take 2 months and was quoted a price. Dropped the car off at Woody's Hot Rodz. Eight months later I picked the car up and was charged double what I was originally quoted. The workmanship of the modification was poor and the roof was rusted from the metal slag from grinding that was left there and allowed to get wet. There was a crease in the right door and a large dent in the right quarter panel. This was a metal finished body in sealer primer when it went to Woody's. The owner said he wasn't responsible for any of the damage because he gave the job to his brother-in-law to do and he wasn't an employee of Woody's Hot Rodz. more

Watch your money! 3/17/2010

Woody's Hot Rodz may build nice cars if they ever get a chance to build your car. If you choose to use this garage to build your dream plan on it taking several years but most importantly watch your money! They tend to use money you send in to pay for your car either towards another person's build or the owner may need to pay for his own personal expenses with that money. Ask for receipts of every dime that your money was spent on, even if parts were ordered from elsewhere OR order parts needed on your own. Keep track of every dime you send in and make sure it matches to the pennie what you are being charged for. Yes, you may get a nice car...eventually...or you could end up in legal debates over where your money has disappeared to! more
