I placed a very simple order with Woody's Hot Rodz in late May of 2022 for 2 hood springs for my 57. I very clearly stated in the comments box on the order to inform me immediately of any backorders or delays. Instead of notifying me of a delay, they sent ONE hood spring and noted on the invoice that they had only one spring and would send the second one when they were back in stock. Completely understanding a slight backorder, I patiently waited throughout the show season, emailing them again in early August at which time I got the excuse they were running into a problem with their supplier, starting with the 55 hood spring and now the 57. At the end of August, I once again contacted Jared at Woodys and expressed my dissatisfaction for the 3+ month wait and the fact that I had initially asked to be notified of backorders so that I could look elsewhere for parts. Jared's response was another excuse about how the supplier lost employees and a branch of their manufacturing...excuse after excuse, then promised that an order of hood springs was finished and they would be in their warehouse SHORTLY. On October 17, I sent Jared an email and asked him to complete the order immediately or issue a return authorization to return the single hood spring for complete refund. Jared then replied that he got the springs in last week, along with other backordered parts(another sad tale), and he was sending one out from the warehouse TODAY. That was a week and a half ago and I still have no hood spring.
Woodys does not care about my small order from over 5 months ago and continues to make excuses for their failure to alert me of backorders and/or offer to cancel/refund my order. Look elsewhere for your parts, there are plenty of other, more reliable and caring companies out there.
