Found a beautiful slate coffee table and large set of dressers for my neice. I considered keeping the coffee table for myself! Service was outstanding and the guy who helped us was really pleasant. We will be back! more

I shopped all the local stores in Salem and did not find anything that compared to the Englander mattress I bought from Woodrys. Low pressure sales, a local company, fantastic service and follow through. And the mattress itself was made to order from Tualatin. Another local business. Great prices, service, and locally owned vendors. Can't lose. And the new bed is beautiful! more

Not for the average person that buys glitz. They carry some really excellent lines at very reasonable prices, and the usual moderately pricey cheap stuff like Ashley, that is aimed for the person that looks only at the surface and wants pretty not quality. Ask, and they will steer you to the real values - they are there for the having. Again this is a store not for the average buyer, but for the discriminating buyer that recognizes quality and wants maximum bang for the buck. more

Woodry's does not sell high-end furniture, but they sell quality furntiture at a reasonable price. Are they least expensive? Maybe not, but the palce doesn't have all the overhead of displays and fluff that the other stores have. I used to work at Hogg Bros. yeas ago and I know what costs goes into those displays. Here they just pass the savings onto the customer. They are honest, friendly, non-instrusive and has been a locak business since, I don't know, the 1700's! Bought a sofa/recliner there back in the mid-90's. It lasted a good 12 years. And for the money, that was pretty good. Time to replace that set. Went with a cordory fabric on a Stanton set. Nice for the price! If you have had problems in here, you may have your expectations set too high! more

My husband and I buy all of our furniture at Woodry's. Sales people are honest and helpful. After several bad experiences at other stores, we went there to get a chair and now go back for pretty much everything. If they don't have it, they can order it, and they stand behind everything they sell. more

My husband and I went in looking to purchase several pieces of furniture and spend a few thousand dollars. Although Woodry's was not the cheapest on some of the items we were looking at, we were considering buying all of our pieces there. We found a lovely hutch/curio cabinet that was perfect. I had been looking all around for a hutch like this. When we inquired on it the guy gave us a price and then said, "wait a minute, let me go check on something." He came back and said he couldn't sell this item as it was defective. We asked what was wrong and he said it had something to do with the way the doors slid open. Well, we said that wasn't a big deal because my husband could fix it and we still wanted it. He said it could not be sold and they were going to send it back to the manufacturer. We asked if they would be getting more in and he said they would not be ordering this peice again. We said okay and asked who the manufacturer was. At this point he said, "I'm not going to tell you." I had thought that even if this particular item would not be available, perhaps they would have other items that I may like. I had looked EVERYWHERE for a cabinet that I liked and this was the only one I have ever seen that was perfect for me. I asked the guy if he was joking and he said no that he would not tell us who made it. So, we left and did not buy a single item. We left and went to Ashley's where we spent over $2500. And we paid less then if we would have bought at Woodry's. Only becuase Ashley price matched Furniture Outlet. I will never ever go back. Even if it means that I have to pay more some place else. But, they are not even the cheapest. Furniture Outlet has by far the best prices in town. I was not impressed with the customer service I received when I was looking at spending lots of money in this touch economy. Beware. more

The first time I entered this store I was amazed at the selection -- they have much more than appears from outside. I purchased a mid priced sofa set from them, and was very happy with the price and service I received. I also purchased a mattress, and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. A good place to shop -- but not top end items more
