Caring vets, great service 11/10/2008

I've been bringing my labs and mutts here for more than 10 years. They've been exceptionally caring and accommodating to me and my fur-bearing family members.They're not afraid to refer me elsewhere (U of M) when faced with an unsure diagnosis (requiring cat-scans, or, in this case dog scans to discover spinal cancer).\r \r Excellent care, fair prices. Very caring and capable vets. I highly recommend them. more

20-some years of care 9/5/2008

My family has been bringing our pets her for over 20 years, and have always been pleased. I encourage you to find a doctor there that you're comfortable with and keep going to that one - make your appointments specifically with that doctor, and be sure to say "I have an appointment with Dr. __" when you get there. We go to Dr. Glattly for our dogs and Dr. Onffroy for our cats. more

overcharging and very bad`attitudes 6/17/2008

My dog was hit by a car so I brought him into the clinic because it was the closet to my house. The vet took x-rays and called to tell me that she needed an experts opinion on a fracture my dog had in his leg.I asked how much to which she replied 250.00. I asked her not to seek the opinion and cast him up. Every two weeks I had to go in to get the cast reset and every time they wanted to charge me a different price. It went from 100.00 to 27.00. I complained about this and was treated very rudely. The next time I went in the vet put the cast on so hard that in a couple hours my dogs paws were swollen to the point that I thought they would explode. I brought him in again and instead of taking the cast of and redoing it they made an insertion into the bottom of the cast and said he would be fine. No apology from them and again quite rude.Trust me do not bring your pet there! more

Best in the Cities 4/24/2008

We have been using this clinic for over 20 years. The vets and staff are beyond great. We have had many pets over the years and they have all had world class care at Woodlake. They remember our family member names and have been very caring when we have lost pets. if you are looking for a vet Clinic in the South Minneapolis area this is the best you can do. more

Fantastic Clinic and Staff 5/25/2007

I recently had my cat declawed at Woodlake. They did a fantastic job and the staff was fantastic. They answered all of my questions and seemed to genuinely care for my pet. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for great service, a caring staff and reasonable rates. more

Wood Lake Vet 2/12/2007

I have both a cat and a dog I bring to Wood Lake. I will admit I went there only because they were the only place I could bring my cat one weekend, but was very pleased with the service that I recieved. I was so pleased with the pleasant staff that I left my other vet to bring my dog and pre-mentioned cat to Wood Lake. I don't see how you can beat nice people at a VERY reasonable price! more

CHARGING FOR UNECESSARY PROCEDURES W/OUT CONSENT 3/13/2006

Brought my kitten in to get declawed -- had a consent for to initial what I did and didn't want done. Did not want ANYTHING other than the declaw and medicine. Left three numbers to be reached at. Was told they would call by noon, or to call them. Called at 1pm - said things were fine. Went out to snowblow, came in saw VM left by dr. stating "Cat has dirty ears, since I can't get ahold of you I'm going to clean them. There is an extra charge!" Called back, and she explained she called, and since I didn't answer, she cleaned them and it was an additional 21.00. I did NOT authorize the cleaning, and it was not a life or death situation and NOT necessary to be performed by them! EXTREMELY UPSET about they way they run business. Vet was mad that I didn't agree with procedure, and RELUCTANTLY agreed to remove charge. Would not recommend! PROS: NONE CONS: Poor working ethics and poor notification. more

Excellent staff 11/6/2005

I would just like to start out this review that the staff at woodlake is so caring and so helpful with everything. We had our dog in for a routine surgery and they handled everything with so much care, love and kindness. The docs and the techs there are so helpful and they make sure that as the owner of the dog, you know exactly what is going on and what your animal will experience. The staff there was more than helpful and the rates are pretty decent! Thanks woodlake and your staff for caring so much for my dog. more

We offer vaccines, wellness visits, dental cleanings, routine spay and neuters, and advanced surgery. We have many tools for diagnostics such as in house blood testing with results possible in minutes. We have X-rays and on-call ultrasound. We offer behavioral counseling for cats and dogs.
