New tire installation 5/6/2011

As a recommended installer for Tire Rack, I had new tires for my Mini Cooper direct shipped and installed at Woodinville SC. Their mounting and balancing costs were in line with other shops and they were installed while I waited. I appreciate the suport they provide to the sports car and vintage racing community. more

Lesson Learned 1/6/2010

As a former customer I gave their shop a roller rocker kit to be installed on my TR6. I was told the kit wouldn't fit and they reinstalled the stock rockers, adjusted the valves and charged me $480.00. When I complained the owner told me it was a "life lesson' and that the kit wouldn't fit. I returned home made a phone call to the roller kit source and installed it myself and adjusted the valves in 2 1/2 hours. I assumed at $95.00 per hour they had the expertise to do the job. The owner needs to spend more time supervising his business rather than preparing his race cars. more

Diagnostic was disappointing 11/11/2009

I had high hopes - alas they were dashed. My Mercedes had an idle problem and temp issue. I knew there would be some diagnostic time involved and was prepared for that. But when I heard, "We'll have to look that up in the manual" I knew I needed to find another mechanic who actually knows the car inside and out. Sorry, my experience was disappointing and they dropped the ball. I recommend Mercedes Specialists in Bellevue - he picks up your car and delivers as part of the service! Plus, he wants to know why something fails vs. just replacing parts = saving you $ when components can be truly repaired - not just swapped out when they don't need to be. more

2001 Audi TT Broken water pump. 5/31/2008

Just the way that I want to be treated - I had seen Woodinville Sports Cars from 522 for years and needed to get a leak cured on my TT. Stopped in (after hours) to ask what it would cost. Rick (the owner) is personable, and offered no promises but straight info based on what I told him. I dropped the car off the next morning and got a call that afternoon with what they had found - bad news (water pump needed to be replaced) Rick offered me a clear set of options and the cost of each option, Picked the car up the next day. Rick talked me through every line item on the bill (for the amount we discussed the day before), and shared observations about the car for future maintenance with no pressure to get it done now and no up sell. Offered to fix the indicator light (that the dealership had only jiggled to work for the 4 years of the warranty) for cost of materials. Car was cleaned and ready to go! Nice to get what you expect and more. Thanks Rick and Travis for making me feel like a valued customer. billholt more

Great People, Great Service 7/21/2006

WSC just did a pre-buy inspection and some repairs to a VW I purchased in the area, and I can't recommend them highly enough. They are personable, thoughtful, and attentive to detail, and are happy to listen and give consideration to special issues you may have (in my case, the need to drive the car some 2000 miles home). Their rates are comparable to other shops in the area, and they are prompt and courteous. I came away feeling confident they'd done a good job, and would go quite a ways out of my way to business with them again. more
