Thesaurus: Wood-hollow = Depressed Weiner. B/c women spend 15+ minutes waiting in line for a mere - 2 stall 1 bathroom facility. Jalapeno's ""before dark"" is good; however ""after dark"" aka Woodhollow is not catered for night atmosphere. Remodeling and better management is needed to run an after-hours establishment. more

Birthday night out ruined.... Friend denied entrance for no apparent reason. Arrived to celebrate at the birthday gathering, humiliated when told designer jeans were too long even though friends had longer jeans that were allowed in. Creepy man at the door is allowed to judge people based on bizarre criterion. Hope the management will get a taste of the old saying,""what comes around goes around."" Woodhollow management must not care who they offend or how their employees affect their business. Don't blame your employees, just train them properly. If you are not white, do not even waste your time trying to get into this place. The dress code is up for decoration only, because the people at the door are the ones who will bend the rules depending on what race you are. Normally, it goes not in favor of those who are not white. Also, talking to these people is just as futile, because they will think of some excuse not to let you in if not white. I'm white and I was offended. So if you are NOT white and looking for an unforgettably terrible experience, please by all means, come to this place. Experience racism at its best. It will definitely feel like you have gone back in time. But don't complain to me later if one of your white friends gets in and you are left staying at the door being cursed and having your life threatened. I am 23 and have been to Woodhollow several times. Now I am not a person who goes out every weekend, or parties in Chicago, but for NW Indiana this is a great place to dance, see people you haven't seen in a while, and just have a good time. As far as the dress code is concerned, I think that it is great because it makes you feel like it is a place that expects you to look your best. There isn't anything wrong with that. Worst Staff, Service, and managment. I don't know how they are still open! They have a dress code which prohibits any jean or clothing item from any minority (African American) Clothing designer ie Fubu, Rocawear, Phat Farm, Sean John, and the list goes on. To the average Latino American or African American, the dress code clearly reads ""KEEP OUT"" We have never seen anything like this (only in text books) They treated our African American friends TERRIBLE cursing at them and denying them entry because they chose to wear Sean John. Unless you want to support the KKK, I wouldn't give them a dime! We went there because a Co-worker works out at the Omni41 a gym connected to the club (what a great concept) NOT! The management and staff at Woodhollow Bar & Grill are terrible. Being a professional nurse looking for a place to relax and meet people on Friday nights, I chose to go to Woodhollow because it was close to home. I was shocked that my friends and I were treated with a lot of disrespect. The management and staff blasted us with profanity-loaded words because one of us complained about the service we received. It is unthinkable that being a guest at an establishment that serves the public, that such a situation wouldve occurred. We were a group of single professional nurses looking to have a bit of fun and relaxation after a long day of work. We definitely picked the wrong place. Woodhollow Bar & Grill gets 2 thumbs down. Pros: Drinks are not watered down. Drinks worth the price. Music/DJ - good Cons: Bartenders are slow. Customer has to wait, while they do shots with other clients. more
