We have been taking our dogs to the Woodburn Pet Hospital since the mid-80s, and in all cases, we have had outstanding service and care provided to our animals. We now have two Boxers which both have congenital health issues. In both cases, the doctors at the clinic and the support staff have been caring and most professional in dealing with their issues. We board our dogs there as well. Their boarding facilities are top notch. Both dogs love going their and never show any anxiety when we get ready to board them. They enjoy the staff and care they receive. We will continue to take our pets to this wonderful, caring pet hospital. more

Great vet 4/13/2010

Dr. Paradis is a great vet. Our cat had been involved in an accident that left his leg shattered. We initially took him to the Emergency Pet Clinic of Tualatin (it happened on a Friday night) and were told it was a difficult break that would require surgery that they weren't equipped to do. They referred us to Dr. Paradis... he was very kind but realistic telling us that he could perform the surgery needed but couldn't guarantee the outcome. Long story short... it turned out great. We think he's a wonderful, caring vet (we call him "the cat whisperer" :) and highly recommend him. more

THE BEST VET IN THE WORLD!!! 3/4/2010

THIS IS WORTH THE TIME TO READ \r A year ago on a Sunday evening in Feb while at my Mothers birthday party my Great Dane (only 3 months old) came running up the outside deck to my calls. Her hind leg slipped in mid run and the momentum was enough to snap her leg in a horrible spot. The cries from my baby girl were horrible she wouldnt stop. I was scared and Knowing it was evening time and a Sunday to boot I began to call the closest emergency clinics in the area. One was NW veterinary emergency animal hospital.........I only have bad things to say in reguard to there response....they had no compassion, and just plain didnt care and told me that unless I had a full ammount of money for a surgury (that most likely would be required) that they wouldnt see me. Then I called VCA Southeast..........here again it was as though i was annoying them by my call. They seemed rushed and i felt as though I was interupting their buisy day...I was told that due to money issues (basically i couldnt af more

Great pet care! 2/27/2010

I have taken my cats and dogs to Woodburn Pet Hospital for many years. The staff is caring and friendly and always greet you when you arrive. My dog stays at the kennel a lot during the year and it is like his second home. He loves to go! My pets get quality care from knowledgeable vets. I recommend this clinic to all my friends who love their pets. more

We took one of our rescues to this hospital a few years ago and was not happy with the vet or how we were treated. A very nice clinic but I would never go there again or recommend them. more

Vet okay, but staff very unorganized and terrible customer service skills 4/16/2009

My dogs were patients here for the last two years. The vets seem knowledgeable, but they charge fairly high prices and don't deliver high-quality service. When you call to check on your animal, no one seems to know what's going on with it. The ladies at the front desk are nice, but they'll let you walk in and sit there and never say hi, ask what you need, or tell you they'll be with you in a moment (basic customer service skills). They just ignore you, for the most part. The other thing I didn't like was that they charge extra for letting your dog out for extra play time. I've worked for four different veterinary clinics in my life, and none of the places I worked for charged extra for this. If we had a slow period during the day, or even just five minutes between appointments or surgeries, we would take the dogs that were boarding with us outside to run around and go potty, or we would sit in the cage and love on them and play with them, because we wanted to and were concerned with th more

House of horrors 3/23/2009

I recently had the misfortune of taking my cat to the Woodburn Pet Hospital at 985 Evergreen Rd. to have a mass removed from her back leg. When I picked up the cat after the surgery, I noticed the leg had been immobilized in a soft cast and was told the cat would quickly adapt to the cast. Upon arriving home she attacked the cast every time she tried to walk. She would scream, howl, hiss, and bite the cast while spinning in circles. After a few hours I phoned the vet to ask if anything could be done and was again told the cat would be fine and if I was worried I could come by and get an Elizabethan collar. It was at that time, the cat fell asleep from exhaustion. 3 hours later she woke up and the mayhem restarted again. When I noticed part of the incision site was exposed and the stitches were tearing due to the constant attacking of the soft cast, I phoned the clinics emergency number at 10:30pm for help. The vet I spoke to, Patrick Paradis, said he wasn't concerned and I could bring more

Good vet 1/11/2009

This vet came in on a Sunday afternoon one time when I found a dog that had been hit by a car. I had no cell phone and didn't know the area, his place was where someone else directed me to take the dog, and I then had to write down his number and go find a phone. He came right in and treated the dog, and let me write him a check, which he tore up when we found the owner and she gave him her credit card. more
