Wonmanog Kennels

Our dog loves Wonmanog! My Labradoodle would start whining in anticipation a full mile from the kennel. He loved being able to socialize with other dogs during the day. The care to be second to none. The owners are true dog lovers and are good with people, too. ;) Sadly, we have moved from the area and cannot find a replacement kennel we love half as much as here! A+ more

My husband and myself love love love Wonmanog Kennels. We take our dog every week for a day of socialization with other dogs. They handle all the dogs with kindness and teach them so many good things. Murphy did not like other dogs until they taught him to play and enjoy other dogs. The kennel is beautifully clean and the yards are wonderful. They get more attention and care than we ever expected. Murphy jumps on my lap (not supposed to) when I turn into the driveway. They notice everything about the dogs and truly love what they do I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. See for yourself. more

I called this kennel to see if they were able to handle my dog-aggressive American Bulldog. I was told on the phone that my dog would be kept separated from the other dogs and that she could spend time alone when outdoors in a smaller, fenced yard. When I arrived, the story changed. I was told that my dog needed to ""get over it"". I was on my way to an appointment so I had no choice but to leave her there. I tried to pick her up early but I wasn't allowed and I found that to be shady. When I did pick my dog up, I was told that my dog had been put in the large play group and ""you're right...she doesn't like other dogs"". more

We have been a customer of Wonmanog for 16 years, however our last visit is our last. In the hectic life that my wife and I live with twin teenagers along with a 7 year old we forgot to get 2 of our 3 dogs vaccinated (The vaccinations were 6 weeks out of date at the time we dropped the dogs at the kennel). On our way to the airport, the Kennel called to tells us that we needed to come pick our dogs up right now. We freely admit our mistake with regards to not having the dogs vaccinated, however the manner in which my wife was spoken to was down right condescending and belligerent. We arranged to have the dogs taken to another kennel that night - Thankfully. Here is the best part, I called back within a week to speak with the owners of the kennel about the way we were spoken to and I am told that we were trying to be ""shady"" with them. Really, are we going to drop our un-vaccinated dogs off and never pick them up again? Keep in mind we have been customers for 16 years and we have not had any problems prior to this time. The owner son's gets very belligerent with me on the phone and tells me ""good luck finding another kennel as good as us"". Guess what fellas - I have found another kennel with better hours and better customer service. If you like to be talked down to and called ""Shady"" this is the place to go! more

We think this is the best kennel in chester county, and we've toured just about all of them. Clean, skylights, A/C and heat, large indoor/outdoor run, and 3 play sessions per day in the enclosed yard. We're very picky about where we leave the ""kids"" and won't take them anywhere else. They can't wait to push through the door when we arrive, and are always happy and healthy when we return for them. more
