Wonder World Cave & Park

We bought a Pogo Pass, which included a visit to Wonder World Cave & Park. We spent 90 minutes to drive there to do the tour. When we arrived, however, we were told that they would not allow us on the tour unless and until a paying customer arrived. It is there policy not to do tours for Pogo Pass holders unless there are also paying customer taking the tour. (You can’t do any of the events except as part of a tour). We waited a while and eventually another couple showed up to take the tour. However, they also were holders of Pogo Passes and were told the same thing. We were told that this happens frequently and it is the owner’s policy and there is nothing they (the employees) could do about it. Eventually, we gave up and made the 90-minute trek back home. So, if you have a Pogo Pass, don’t waste your time and effort to go. If you don’t have a Pogo Pass and are considering going to Wonder World Cave & Park: Don’t. This is not the type of business that anyone should support. They certainly don’t care about the people who go there. Look at how we were treated. Going to this place and spending even one cent just encourages them to continue this uncaring behavior. more

We recently visited Wonder World Cave & Park and had a super time. They have various attractions like a train that goes between a mountain with water, on the other side are peacocks and deer to hand feed. They have a HUGE gift shop filled with rock candy, home decor, and even have arcade games for the kids to play. They have a gravity room, and this high tower where you can see for miles and miles. They have a huge underground cave. Prices are very resonable and overall affordable. Our family had such a great time here. The park was clean and well taken care of. The workers were nice and friendly. I would recommend them to family and friends. Also parking was not a problem at all! more

After visiting such places as Natural Bridge Caverns, Inner Space Cavern, and Carlsbad Caverns I was diappointed when we visited Wonder World Cave and Park. We took the tour that included the little train ride through the little zoo area, but the tickets were quite expensive for what you got. The tour of the cave was short and there wasn't much to see. more

My family went to this place years ago after reading about it in a travel guide. Granted, we may have been a bit older than the kids they were trying to attract, but we had what we would call a "hilarious" time. The cave pretty much sucked as it was very small and slippery. The Animal Feeding Park (called a safari when we went) was amusing as there were no animals there even resembling something exotic. But we do have some good pictures. And we often bring it up in conversations ending with "Can you believe we went to that place?" So it may be worth a visit just for that. It may have improved over the years, but I'd imagine it's still best for *very* young children. more

Wonder World Cave and Park is an ok attraction. I like that you can buy one ticket for all attractions, which makes it more affordable, but I don't like the cave. It is very steep, has very tight corridors, and is very wet. Not a good place for kids to visit. The animal feeding park with deer is ok, but the deer can get over aggressive and try to climb in the train with you. The gravity house is pretty cool though. more

We visited Wonder Cave this summer and I was a bit disappointed in the Cave! It was small and you really had to duck alot or you'd bump your head. The tour was about 20 minutes long and that was stretching it out with talking & stopping for long periods of time. Worth one trip through. We did enjoy the Gravity house. 'How'd they do that??" That was cool as was the train ride through the park where you can feed and get Up Close & Personal with the Animals! For younger kids this is great! (Heck I enjoyed it too!) The Cave is worth a look but once is enough. more

Wonder World is worthwhile visiting. It is about 20 minutes south of Austin, right down from the college. The gravity house will have everyone wondering-how'd they do that. The cave has some tight spots, and is very damp. Wear good shoes that don't slip, and don't take anyone who is to big or fearful of small spaces in with you. Wonder World has several attractions that make it a great place to take the family for the day. My personal favorites are the animals. They have a huge peacock! The tour takes you through the only cave that was formed during an earthquake. You can view the drop-off of the Balcones Fault Line from the Tejas Observation Tower. For added fun, Wonder World has an anti-gravity house and a Mexican World Market. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $6.50 for children. Boy and girl scouts in uniform also receive a .55 discount. Other attractions at the park are Mystery Mountain and a train ride. more
