* "The Women's Center believes that ending domestic violence and sexual violence will require changes in society's beliefs, thinking and attitudes to end all forms of oppression. The Women's Center recognizes that oppression based on gender, race, age, sexual orientation, income, and physical ability promotes and reinforces the belief that it is legitimate for one group of people to dominate another group. The Women's Center stands for equality, liberty and freedom for all people."

* Victims of domestic and sexual violence that include, adults, teens and children in Marquette and Alger County. Volunteers and Donations
Volunteers are always needed and always appreciated! Some areas where volunteers can help are:
* Transportation
* Fund Raising
* Answering crisis phones
* Client advocacy
* Shelter advocacy
* Special projects
* Resale Shop
* Volunteers are invaluable to the Women's Center. Call (906)-225-1346 for a volunteer application and more information.
* Cash donations are especially welcomed! Gifts of clothing,linen,furniture,and household items are also needed.
* Memorial contributions can be designated to the Women's Center.
* General and Specific Bequests can also be made.
