Wolfgang Puck Express

This is a great option in Franklin when you are in kind of a hurry but don't want to go with the typical sandwich place or fast food. Their prices are comparable to what you would find in a sit-down chain restaurant, so more expensive than most quick food, but the quality and variety is also much higher. I love their homemade pizzas. Delicious cheese, fresh basil, always wonderful. My husband thinks their clam chowder is some of the best he has had outside of a really fancy restaurant. more

I know Wolfgang Puck from TV; his annual Oscars dinner always makes me wish I was rich and famous. Then I found out he opened a budget version of his restaurant in Cool Springs, and I got my chance to try his food. I was not disappointed. Wolfgang Puck Express is an ingenious mix of fast and wait-staff restaurant. You walk in and place your order at a counter, but it's definitely not McDonald's; the wine selection is on display behind the counter and the menu includes Chinois chicken salad and rosemary rotisserie chicken. Once your order is placed, you seat yourself and get your own drink. But from then on, the wait staf takes care of you, bringing your meal and anything else you need. The food is absolutely delicious. My favorite menu item is the bread, which only costs $1 and is made on site. The roasted chicken is tender and flavorful, and it comes with little skinny fries. The portions are generous and the price is right! more
