It has been 3 years since I had surgery to correct Arnold-Chiari malformation. I had the surgery the day of my 29th Birthday. IT is a very very long story how it came about that I needed the surgery to correct the malformation. It all started to come out on the labor and delivery table of my First child in 2002. My Daughter was 4 months old when I had the surgery. When I was referred to Dr. Wolf by my Neurologist who had looked at the MRI and sugested that I go to a neurosurgeon. After finding the doctors in our area and much much prayer I went to Dr. Eric Wolf. My first visit with him was very emotional and he sat down with my mother and I and talked and answered our questions for over and hour. ( We went through his lunch time) He never rushed us. However I did go to another Doctor is a nearby town that specializes in this surgery that I needed. I took 2 trips that were 6 hours round trip and maybe sat with him 20 min. The last time I went to see him as I got in the car I told my family that I still liked Dr. Wolf. Family and friend would tell me with the seriousness of this surgery I needed to go to Houston or Shreveport. That last time I got in my car and drove back 3 hours I had my mind made up where and who I was going to see. And I have No regrets! On top of needing to have this malformtion corrected I have petit-Mal seizures (uncontrolled) Dr. Wolf and his staff all have been patient and considerate of me. Mrs. Dee his Nurse is tremendous at answering questions and if she does not know the answer she will QUICKLY find the answer.I have done well since my surgery. All my complications have gone over time.
