Wofford's Nursery & Landscpg

I get all of my mulch and rock here, but the last four times I have been, there has been no one there to load such items. This last time I called from 10am to 430pm waiting for this elusive man to show up and load landscaping rock into my truck. I would've went out and shoveled it in to the truck bed if given the choice considering I had out of state help coming to help me with my project. Apparently, one person in Clarksville paid Wofford's to do their landscaping; therefore, no one else in the city of 50k + could purchase anything that needed loaded via bobcat. Seriously tired of chasing this company for some dang rock! more

After reading the other reviews of the actions of the owner Chris. I myself thought it was just maybe a bad day of my first and now last visit. I went to see if they could help me with a project. I wanted to buy 4 trees, and 6 shrubs. I liked the idea that the trees were larger, but the price was high for each tree I was looking at with around $250.00 for each tree. I could find nobody to help me. I only saw one man and he was watering, and looked like he would have no idea what the difference between a tree and shrub would be, (Not his fault he was just paid to water).Then as I went inside, I found Chris in his office, and he was not user friendly. When I asked him questions about certain trees, his response and the way he talked to you made you want to "Tuck your tail between your legs and back away quickly" I also asked about them delivery and planting the trees. My experience with Wofford's Nursery, particularly Chris Wofford, is not pretty, and I never even met the man. My first visit to the nursery was a bit rushed for me as I had little time to browse, but my impression was that there wasn't anyone who seemed interested enough to assist me. My second visit was even more frustrating as I had a specific tree in mind to see and no one was willing to walk me through the nursery to find it. I was sent on a wild goose chase on my own to find the tree, and came up empty-handed. My third visit (I know, I should have followed my instincts) was just as bad and I did have to find the tree on my own. The nursery worker marked the tree as "sold" and took my money, but that was all I was assisted with. I was told that the tree would be planted that Friday morning and when Friday morning rolled around, I got a call saying they didn't have time to plant it and would be out on Monday. During my first visit to Woffords, the owner (CHRIS) was extremely rude/hostile to me and refused to give me any prices on mulch whatsoever. He told me that he would only give me a price if I was going to buy it at that very moment. I I gave them a second chance and it was even worse. I had purchased a tree and told the cashier that I'd be back the following morning at 10:00 to pick it up. When I came to pick it up I was told by the owner that he didn;t have anyone available to load my tree and to come back tomorrow. I didn;t expect him to load oit for me and I had 3 guys with me to help. He refised to let me load it myself and told me to leave and come back tomorrow. All this after the cashier assured me that there would be no problem with picking it up that morning. I will never give them my business again. more

I've gone here for years and even called on them for a home project. The quality is excellent... the plants and shrubs are healthy and beautiful, their staff is helpful and professional. This is the type of business that makes you not want to look around. more
