For starters, this shop has no local competition so prices aren't going to be the lowest. Ray is a kind old gentleman, but that won't prevent him from refusing to accept returns or contact the companies in case of faulty merchandise. If you know what you'd like to get, it's a safe bet. If you want to buy a book (books have way more tricks for your money than anything else) it's a safe bet. I only go there to buy flash paper, animal balloons, and other utility items for my professional act. I only buy magic if it's going to support my business as a magician. If you or your child are interested in magic, by all means, go to Ray's shop. He's led many aspiring magicians in the right direction, including myself. While he may be a difficult person with whom to do business at times, he does have an eye for recognizing talent. Ray is also a charter member of the Syracuse sector of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and usually has information for how to join.
Pros: This shop has a range of products
Cons: inconsistent availability, somewhat difficult owner.
