I live over the Marina, and was very concerned about the handling of a number of expensive and unique pieces of furniture and works of art for my local move; I contracted with WInter Moving based on their my friend's and yelp's recommendetion. Like most people past a certain age, I've had a fair amount of experience with moving companies. Some OK, some awful, and never on time unless you're the first customer of the day. I understand how it works. I have never written a review of any service before this, but my experience with Winter Moving has been exceptional. They did a wonderful job and I recommend them completely. We were just too busy to help with much of anything for the move, so they did all the packing and unpacking too, even though I said we'd get most of the packing done beforehand, and they didn't complain (this is why you should expect late movers if you're not the first job of the day, and now I've done it myself- sorry to everyone else). The men were fine with my concerns about several irreplaceable pieces of furniture and artwork, assured me they'd worked with museum pieces before (and actually listened to me instead of just paying lip-service), and they way they treated them it was obvious that they knew what they were doing. Good. After everything was unpacked, it all looked good and nothing was broken or missing- that's worthy of a positive review itself, and a big sense of relief. They were on-time, their pace was consistent and fast, and the men actually cared about doing a good job. Worthy of the tip, absolutely. The people in the office were easy to work with and honest- this company is thorough and professional. I've hired movers overseas, on both coasts and here in SF, and have to say that Winter Moving are the best m overs I've ever hired in 40+ years. Really nice job, guys, tanks again.
Pros: Funny guys!!!
Cons: Nice job
