This was my first time ever using movers instead of relying on friends and I'm pretty sure I'll never go back. From start to finish, it's the most relaxed I've ever been while moving. Laurie's set me up quickly and answered all of my questions. The movers, Nick, Yishai and Fernando, called about an hour before they arrived. They were fast, efficient, and friendly.As long as I live in San Francisco, Winter Moving will be my #1 choice moving company! more

We were really happy with our movers. They were on time and work so efficient and fast that we were able to sleep in our beds the night of the move. We moved a 3bed/2bath duplex with a lot of stuff and had 3 movers with a big truck. We were able to move 95% of our stuff with one trip and it took about 7hrs to finish the move and to setup most of the major furniture. I can highly recommend Winter Moving and I would definitely use them again for future moves. Pros: fast, efficient, helpful, flexible Cons: None more

These guys are amazing! Not only did everything arrive 100% but I'm pretty sure some of my furniture arrived better than when it left - if that were possible. The guys were super nice, professional, polite, fast etc. etc. Kinda like hiring your friends to help you move, except these guys really know what they are doing. We moved to Oakland from San Francisco & have been looking for a local moving company for our business. Man, these guys professional, quick and reasonably priced. My friend referred me to Winter Moving, after he used them last month.The move was a last minute move and my building had an elevator time restriction that was very hard to meet. Winter Moving sent me more people in order to finish the move on time and did the impossible! I was so impressed .The movers packed my kitchen and bedroom and did an amazing job! I have to report, beyond impressive customer service. I made a simple telephone inquire last week regarding Winter Moving services, speaking with their representative, Jessie. Although it became evident early in the conversation that I would not be hiring Winter Moving (because of my limited time to relocate), Jessie still took the time to help educate me as to what to look for in other moving companies, going so far as to even recommend reputable companies that might be able to assist me within my limited timeframe. Two great movers arrived at my apartment and quickly assessed that I had understated my needs. Nevertheless, my move, including packing, went very smoothly and efficiently. We moved to San Jose from San Francisco & have been looking for a local moving company. Man, these guys are professional, quick and reasonably priced. We needed our 2 bedroom apartment move out on Saturday. Winter Moving completed the job in less then five hours, and for less than $600 total. I've booked my one bedroom move 2 weeks in advance, the guys came right on 9AM on the move date, it was raining the whole weekend here in SF, so its good they wrapped all my furniture, so nothing got wet. I live over the Marina, and was very concerned about the handling of a number of expensive and unique pieces of furniture and works of art for my local move; I contracted with WInter Moving based on their my friend's and yelp's recommendetion. Like most people past a certain age, I've had a fair amount of experience with moving companies. Some OK, some awful, and never on time unless you're the first customer of the day. I understand how it works. I have never written a review of any service before this, but my experience with Winter Moving has been exceptional. They did a wonderful job and I recommend them completely. We were just too busy to help with much of anything for the move, so they did all the packing and unpacking too, even though I said we'd get most of the packing done beforehand, and they didn't complain (this is why you should expect late movers if you're not the first job of the day, and now I've done it myself- sorry to everyone else). The men were fine with my concerns about several irreplaceable pieces of furniture and artwork, assured me they'd worked with museum pieces before (and actually listened to me instead of just paying lip-service), and they way they treated them it was obvious that they knew what they were doing. Good. After everything was unpacked, it all looked good and nothing was broken or missing- that's worthy of a positive review itself, and a big sense of relief. They were on-time, their pace was consistent and fast, and the men actually cared about doing a good job. Worthy of the tip, absolutely. The people in the office were easy to work with and honest- this company is thorough and professional. I've hired movers overseas, on both coasts and here in SF, and have to say that Winter Moving are the best m overs I've ever hired in 40+ years. Really nice job, guys, tanks again. First, let me say that it takes a VERY good or VERY bad experience to get me to write a review. Moving is stressful, period. Especially in the city with smaller homes, narrow doorways and narrow/one way streets that you pretty much have to block completely to load a moving truck. However, last Friday was honestly the best move I have ever had - in years of moving around. WInter Moving movers were absolutely PERFECT. They were on time, extremely careful, friendly, helpful (going above and beyond just moving stuff) and efficient. Overall they did a fantastic job. I would absolutely hire them again, recommend them to all my friends and would certainly not dread moving if it was with their services and help. LOOK NO FURTHER - these are your guys. My move from Mountain View to San Francisco went very well through this company and I was called by my estimator Tom and asked to post a review on this site. I am posting positive feedback in regards to their services and would recommend others to use their moving services. I also moved used them later on to move a couch back to my sister's house. After getting price quotes from various moving companies, Winter Moving were able to work with me to reach a rate that I thought was very fair. Tom was a competent and helpful contact and advised me on the logistics of making a smooth move well beyond his duties as a moving company agent. Tom worked with his supervisor to get me a competitive rate and advised me on weather conditions for my moving day to boot. I would recommend WInter Moving to anyone who needs to make a move.? Guys came on time. The move was excellent, the foreman and his team did a great job of getting things done efficiently and without any issues and they stayed to help put the bed together which was extremely helpful.
