I recently visited the Vernal area loving wingers as I do I was pleased to see this small town actually had some good food.
However that feeling quickly left as I found this place to the rudest , poorest service and down right unfriendly place I have ever visited.
The service was well I must say just not there. I had to find my waitress to get my drink refilled. NO matter how many times I tried to get her attention I actually believe I would have had to throw my food on the floor and brake the plate and I think she still would have just walked over it instead of offering service. I got the impression from how dirty the place was some had actually tried this and indeed had still not gotten the service as the food was still there on the floor.
it was not busy at all she was just more into visiting with locals that she knew then helping and rendering service that she was there to provide. the food itself was ok not the best but eatable. however when finally after asking for my check 4 times I went over my bill and found they automatically charged a 35 percent tip outrages. I am expected to pay what they think their service was worth and not what I determined it was worth. This was an aggravation like no other.
in my travels around as I'm a traveling sales man I usually tip quite well and normally I probably would have left more than even what was on the bill however the fact that I was actually being required to leave this tip with no choice on my part got me thinking of what a tip really is the Dictionary defines a tip as
(Optional payment given in addition to a required payment, usually to express appreciation for excellent service; here also called gratuity.)
( 1. A reward, service, or payment provided freely, without obligation.)
yet here I was sitting here being told that the poorest waitress I had ever had was actually charging me this outrages price for her poor service.
of course I asked them why such a outrages thing and they told me it was in the computer and there was nothing they could do.
I paid and left vowing that if I ever return to this small town in Utah I will make sure not to return to this Wingers.
Pros: food was ok
Cons: service and friendlyness was horrible not the cleanest place
