Order at your own risk! I placed an order with winestuff for Christmas this year. It was only two items, one being the real gift, the other just as a joke.. I ordered by phone, although I had their web page pulled up as I placed my order. Just as their page said, I was told that both items were in stock and ready to be shipped, with an guaranteed delivery date of Dec. 23. They had given me a confirmation number, and days later, when I punched those numbers into their tracking page, it came up asking me to call customer service, as my order could not be found. I called them and was told that it had shipped out. and they gave me a USPS tracking number. The package did arrive when they said it would, but it was short the ""real"" gift. I tried to call them, but the package arrived at 4:15 and they closed at 4:00. The 24th? Closed as well, although their answering machine said that they were supposed to be open. I was left not knowing if it was still en route or lost somewhere. I wrote to them, and I kept calling. When they opened back up (on the Dec. 27th) I was told that the item was no longer being carried, even though as of right now, it still shows on their page as being ""in stock and ready for shipment."" They also told me that they had sent me an e-mail to let me know what had happened. I did NOT receive an e-mail, in fact, I was not even asked for an e-mail address when I placed the order! They did, however, have my phone number and I received no call. I have since received a response to my mail to them that reads, ""We apologize; however, the other item was removed from your order. You were only charged $7.99. We apologize for the inconvenience."" That is it, the whole response. Well sheesh. I was only charged for the gag gift... how comforting. I guess I am lucky that I am not having to fight for a refund. I have since found out that this company has an ""F"" rating from the BBB.
