I had no idea to expect when we rolled up to a historic rail station in downtown Windsor, Vermont (wonderful Vermont town). The interior is incredible. On one side is a pub with an old wood counter, exposed brick huge ceilings and lots of cozy booths. We sat on the ""pub side"" as they call it when we ate their the first time. The location changed hands in 2008 and the new chef and new owners seem hard at work rolling out lots of great things. We sampled beers from all over the world...they had 60 bottled beers from around the world and almost a dozen on tap. We also had the Windsor Station Burgers and freshly beer battered onion rings served on a rail spike. Delicious. The burgers were served wonderful hand cut fries and malt vinegar aioli. I think I tried an Orkney Skullsplitter for a beverage as well as some local Harpoon--they are brewed just up the road.\r

Out next visit we sat on the ""restaurant side"" which is open seating, and private station master's room and another wine room. That night we had mixed green salads, Terras Major Steak, and the Sea Scallops. All of it was incredible. The wine list, which we missed the first time, was truly wonderful, with great selection and a nice price range...far more than I would have guessed. The new owner was there on this second visit and gave all kind of information on the history and the changes underway with more to come. A great atmosphere, very friendly service, and place we will enjoy again and again.\r
