After last nights snow storm, I would have thought twice about buying my windows at window depot. It was freezing, the windows did not keep the cold out. I could not tell a difference between the old windows and these new ones. First thing, opened up the bathroom window, and the metal tracks fell loose. I spent 1 hour trying to figure it out, marked up the whole window, and now the window does not slide properly. What a pice of junk. What kind of circus are they running over there? window depot is just a very dirty company to deal with. they claim ""oh it happens to 1 out of every 10 customers or its only a very few ppl who have these problems""...but truth is its not just a few ppl its ALOT! and its not just isolated to one location or store its happening in ALL their stores/franchises. from my own experience in dealing with their window depot chantilly store i can assure you their service overall is really bad. perception is reality and the fact of the matter is this shouldnt be happening, not to ANY customer even ONE because that person could be you. and if you deal with these guys youre probably next. and the really sad part is that they dont care if youre having a problem cuz they fail to address any of your needs or concerns instead they get rude, defensive and outright confrontational, just read the comments below. its a commom theme and their dirty laundry list goes on and on horrible customer service, they dont return calls, work is shabby and poor, recommended install crews are illegals and bargain for cash, extra charges, delay and errors, broken seals, heat/cooling contractions, the list just goes on Cons: Beware, no respect for my home, waste of time and money more

I would never step foot in this place again! Talk about a pice of chit window! I had my windows replaced by champion windows 2 years after these piece of chit windows were installed. Champion windows are such a superior product its not even funny! Any of those other products are superior to window depot! Window depot is like the geo metro of windows and champion is like the lexus! Who would rather drive a geo metro than a lexus? Not me! Plus these azzholes are so rude.. I agree with the others....once they have your money they could care less whether or not you are happy with your windows. This is a poor product that should not be distributed! The wifey had been requesting new windows and doors for a minute. We hit up Glass Rite, Don's Windows, and Champion. We were kind of bummed because of the high pressure tactics these dudes were taking with us. Glass Rite told us only they could offer the GOVERNMENT OFFERED TAX REBATE lol (come to find out just about anyone can). Don's was too busy talking bad about every other window company, and Champion was mad expensive. Bottom line Window Depot was great, easy to work with, product is fantastic (don't know what these haters are talking about lol), and the price made me really happy. My wife is happy and she's leaving me alone lol. FIVE STAR man, see for yourselves. Pros: Great service, great price, great lead time! Cons: Store was hot. more

These windows were either made in china, or they found them in the back of the factory from 1984 and gave them to me. Really? They should put these windows in the side of a happy meal box from Mc Donalds. I could have found better windows in the 1.99 bonus basket at walmart. more

i bought my windows at Window depot about 6 months ago. They helped me get the right window and they also explained to me the difference between the glass options and how i could benefit from that in the long run. those guys were great and the windows are magnificent. Pros: product is fabulous for price. more

This place has been an absolute nightmare, and it seems as though I am not the only one. Two years ago a friend of mine (bottom review) and I purchased windows for our homes. We have had tons of problems with the functionality and overall quality of the windows. My friend has changed his windows, however I am going to fight it!!! I am not going to get ripped off for over $4,000. FYI - once they have your money, they don't give a damn about you...its all about them!!! For 2 years I have been waking up to noisy windows due to faulty assembly or seals. It took months to get someone out here...they replaced glass on the north side of my home....my windows still make tons of noises. Its been 3 weeks since I contacted them and they have failed to show up on scheduled appointments 3 times. I am losing hours and business each time they do not show up for a scheduled appointment. Like I said... once they have your money...its all about them...not you.... So, It has been over 6 months since my original issues. I still have all the same issues, and no one is showing up for appointments. Every time I call, the manager happens to be with a customer...surprise surprise!!! So its been two years, my windows are still a mess and I am still out over $4,000. I have attempted to contact SI Inc of Arizona whom assembles the windows and of course there is only one person to talk to and he is out until thursday. My next steps are to contact the be-tt-er bu-siness- beaureau of new mexico as well as the consumer protections division at the attorney generals office. If you feel that you have received a faulty product from this company, don't let them get you!!! Fight it until you win!!! I will not stop until I get what I paid for!!!! I will keep you posted on what happens. There are third party organizations that will help you fight for what is right!!! Research your company..don't make the same mistake I did...so as you can see the previous review is very deceitful! I was given a faulty product which is still in my home 2 years later!!! I went in not knowing anything about windows. The salespeople at Window Depot were great. I was provided excellent customer service, and great product knowledge. I've had my windows for 3 years (this dec.) and they've been great. The product is actually 100% virgin vinyl (w/no metal lol) with a 25 year warranty that would cover any ""popping"". Some kids through a rock through one of my front windows last summer, and the guys were so kind they helped me replace it with zero problems. It irks me that someone would go out of their way to try and make them look bad and then plug their own window company. Don't take my word or the clown below, go in and check it out for yourself. I've even recommended them to my mother, she also loved the product and service. :) Pros: huge in stock selection, great pricing and super customer service Cons: warehouse was hot! more

These have to be the worst windows in the world. I have purchased a couple propoerties in abq and worked on them myself for the last 5 years, and the only thing I regret is using window depot for my windows. They are poorly constructed(assembled), it is extremely cheap vinyl, and the technology is so walmart. would you buy windows at walmart? Not to mention the windows make lots of noise. they pop and crackle throughout the day, and they do a horrible job of keeping noise out. I can't tell the difference between my old windows and these windows. Yes they are cheap, but if I could give any advice, its to spend the extra $$$ and get a good window from a good company. You want to use a company that manufactures their own windows, and uses a good high quality vinyl with no metal components! Window Depot is the type of company to scour the country for the cheapest materials and vinyl. You don't want that!
