Convenient location makes the Windmill a perfect stop for passers through and local residents. Time and time again, this establishment has provided consistent, quality food and service. Food especially is a highlight, as the fresh preparation is a welcome change from chain restaurants whose food is often half cooked ahead of time. Freshness is clearly achieved, as well as a sizable portion for generous portions at very reasonable prices. more

Favorite Danbury Place 1/19/2009

In Danbury you know you will get a good meal here and at Jk's by the war memorial and that's pretty much it. I have been going to the Windmill for as long as I can remember. Now I go in with my family. It is one of the oldest restaurants in town and it owes it's success to great food and great prices. Plus it is without a doubt one of the cleanest places around. The food is good wholesome diner food and for the most part excellent. Most people in Danbury would rather come here than go to fancier/pricier restaurants because the food here is better. ~Jeanne P. more

brings back old memories 8/17/2005

I remember hanging out here on Friday nights when I was in high school. The food was cheap, fast and the seats were a plenty. The milkshakes here are so thick and hearty. I'm not sure what the ambience is nowadays, whether there are high school kids littering the place at nights. But it's worth the risk. If you're looking for a place to just hang out and have fun with yoru friends over some good food, this is it. more
