I had a relative that trained here a few years back, and he absolutely loved it. I went to his Dan promotion ceremony and was especially impressed with the atmosphere. It is a very positive place, headed by Mr Frank Schermerhorn who is a Master of Soo Bahk Do karate. He is very kind, patient, and a Great teacher.
They have a fairly spacious training floor and haveabout 9-12 students per class on a usual day. The staff of instructors are sharp and know their material, and always give good talks about respect and discipline. It's more than just jumping around and punching and kicking there is a greater message alongside their self defense and forms material.
The building is down on Front St. Near the red oak diner with a parking lot in the back. Sometimes it fills up on busy nights, and there is a large grassy area to park in behind the lot.
Very much recommended!
