This is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in the city. My husband always orders the same thing no matter what Chinese restaurant we visit, but here he will mix it up because he likes the food so much. The honey walnut shrimp are fantastic. Not a fan of the egg rolls. more

Windchimes is great, we go here all the time since it's so close so we've had a good number of experiences with them. Eating here sometimes is all over the spectrum but the majority of experiences that we've had have been amazing. Sometimes the staffs want to get you in and out is great and exactly what you need... although other times it can seem like they just want you out of there. Meaning if it's super busy and they can't just get you in and out you're probably going to feel like you're being ignored. The food is wonderful. I bought a "Dining out Deal" coupon from for this restaurant. I'm glad I did! This is the best Chinese in the city! The appetizers we tried were seared tuna, and dumplings. The tuna was exquisite, the dumplings good but not great. For an entree we had the beef tenderloin with broccoli and the sea bass with garlic. The sea bass was incredible. These were dishes you woud expect to find at a five star restaurant. What a great deal. We will be back many times. The service was very good. The dining room was a bit warm. This chinese restaurant is small but has great food. Its tucked away on Frantz Rd. near Tuttle Mall. It has a typical menu but the sauces make the the difference. Give it a try! more

I've only dined here once and it was an overall delight, but not spectacular. The ambience was great, considering it was in a strip mall next to crazy jakes (also highly recommended), and the wait staff was excellent. However, my order is very particular... mongolian beef, extra spicy (no peppers though, just the juice), no onions, and rice noodles if not offered. Upon ordering this, I was looked at like I had sh#t on my face, but perhaps it's just because I have big thighs. Nonetheless, they stuck my order and the food was quite good. The meat was pretty tasty, but the sauce was not up to the jockey club standards. Lastly, what's with the size of that parking lot? It's not supposed to work like that man! Go Browns! more

I have only been to Windchimes once, but was disappointed by my visit. The ambiance and service were good, but the food was what I've become accustomed to at fast food chinese joints. I expected a little but more, especially for the price compared to such fast food places. Pros: Service Cons: Value more

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for over three years and love every experience. The food is incredible, the staff is excellent...you couldn't ask for better service. Once they know you, they will make you off menu meals. Take out is quick (10 min). Parking is much better since the lot has been added onto. Valet has been offered by this location to make it a better experience, as well. The seafood in the meals is very fresh and the large drink menu and quaint but trendy bar is a plus. I adore this restaurant because they use very fresh ingredients in all of the food and it makes a huge difference in the taste! You can taste the crisp veggies, the meats and poultry have the flavor of what they are meant to be and it all costs very little. Dining in the restaurant is a very pleasant experience as it is a white-cloth style venue. I do not recommend taking small children there as it's a quiet place and people like to keep it that way. Ordering carry-out is just as nice as dining in and the portions are equal in quantity. I've heard many complain about the parking lot but hey, it's in a strip mall. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the area! The service is flawless,venue is charming, and most of all, the food is authentic and delicious. I recommend starting with the WASABI TUNA. It's off-menue, but absolutely delicious. I then recommend that you order a large bowl of Seafood Soup, with soft chinese noodles It's enough for two, but I make it my entre'. The courteous and attentive staff will pack what's left for take-home. It's great the next day! Don't miss this advcenture in reasonably priced food, coupled with attentive service. this place has been my favorite for over 30 years. I have found Nothing to compare with it. We had high hopes for this place. Ok, so the parking lot was pretty bad, but the restaurant had nice decor and ambience, and the service was exceptionally good. Our mixed appetizer platter was decent enough - the pork ribs were not the best, however - but the main meals were disappointing. My House Lo Mein was flavorless, and I had to add copious amounts of soy sauce and sweet & sour sauce. Husband asked that his Mala Pork be extra spicy, but it wasn't. Have only eaten in the restaurant once, but have ordered take out on several occasions. So far, everything we've tried has been good. Great General Tso's and lo mein. Always ready quick, too! It seems like there are a lot of upscale Chinese restaurants located in strip malls. Hard to say why, but whatever works. Windchimes is located on Frantz in the same plaza as Kinko's. Inside it is rather serene with the obligatory fish tanks and muted colors. Pros: Good lunch prices more
