Great Shoe Repair!! 4/20/2010

Visiting Los Angeles to film a movie and do some promotional work, broke the heel tip of a very nice pair of custom leather boots. We went to Wilshire Shoe Repair based on the reviews on this page and they definitely lived up to their reputation. The woman who greeted me was kind, helpful, and willing to fix my much-needed boot on the spot. I waited about 9 minutes and was charged an exceptionally great rate for the prompt service with no additional fee for the speedy request. GREAT experience and a great repair! Pros: Exceptional Service Cons: Maybe not the BEST location more

Despite location, this guy is worth it 1/18/2008

I live up in Beachwood, so this place is not close, but I'll go back for sure. He did really great work. I lived in NYC for 7 years and had to get shoes repaired constantly - you wear shoes/heels out rather quickly with all the walking in that city - so I've seen good work, great work and crummy work. The gauges on the heels of my shoes are gone and I can barely see where they once existed. Prices are reasonable too. Pros: great work Cons: location more

Great Quality Service 11/4/2006

I brought my designer bag to get it repaired--the thin leather straps were about to snap because they were almost worn through. The buckles that held the strap to the purse had rubbed against the leather. The repair person removed the stitches from parts of the strap, reinforced the leather with another piece of leather and hand-stitched the straps together. Looks good. I'd give him a 10 if he had used cream-colored thread instead of white to re-stitch (the rest of the bag has cream-colored stitching). Not too noticeable though and the purse is still holding together! Can't complain for $20. The repairperson used to make orthopaedic shoes by hand. Pros: Fast service Cons: Street parking more

Great Work! 5/19/2002

Being new to the neighborhood, I took a chance going into the local shoe repair place. The owner was very friendly and when I explained how I messed up my new boots, he calmly let me know that it would be no problem to fix it. He fixed my heels anc polished my boots for just $10. The added bonus? I took them in to him at 4pm and they were ready before 11 am the next day. I recommend this place to everyone! more
