To make a very long story short, my son and I were attending a ""Mommy and Me"" preschool gymnastics class at Willow Tree Gymnastics. In less than a year of us attending the class, there were 3 different instructors--a very difficult transition for children this young. One evening an unfamiliar face--now a 4th instuctor-- appeared out of nowhere. This instructor overstepped the regular instructor who was present, trying to run the class in a completely different style than what the 2 and 3 year old students were used to. After being in the preschool gym for less than a minute, she raised her voice at the children and parents, demanded us to follow HER rules and routines, and completely ruined our enjoyment of the class BEFORE she even took the time to introduce herself!! Miss Patti, as she is known at WIllow Tree, is said to be a very popular preschool teacher, yet being a teacher myself, I did not find anything developmentally appropriate in the way she interacted with the children, nor in her expectations for these children who have never even attended organized activities prior to this one. Upon trying to speak to the owner of Willow Tree, Ruth Limani, about this situation, I was met with complete disrespect and lack of professionalism. After letting the dust settle for a few days, I attempted to email Ms. Limani and later called the gymnastics club to try to discuss the situation and keep it from happening again to others. I have yet to speak to Ms. Limani. She has never returned my emails or phone calls. From what I can see, she has a very nice business going at Willow Tree Gymastics despite her poor attitude and terrible care of her customers. As most adults know, running from problems and not caring for others whose lives are linked with yours can only cause deeper troubles and ""Unfortunate Situations"". I hope anyone enrolling a preschooler in a gymnastics class thinks twice before choosing WIllow Tree.
