A relaxing place! 2/16/2006

The Williamsburg General store is located outside of colonial Williamsburg on a main drag that you'll need to drive to. It's worth the trip. It's a great tourist stop with tons of trinkets and such on display..but that's not all. Adirondack chairs on their big porch beckon you to come and set a spell. Inside they have homemade candy and an ice cream counter. I have a picture of myself pretending to step into this HUGE bathtub full of penny candy. A really fun place to buy your Williamsburg souvenirs. more

Just a run of themill tourist store From the outside it looks like an unique gift store, so I went in but when you get in it is full of the same boring kitschy tourist trap things that every store has in the USA. Overpriced,and crowded, the layout is cluttered and nothing unusual. They have expensive ice cream and such in the back. I wasn't impressed. more
