The Walking Spirit is bigger than it looks from the outside, and while the selection it offers isn't terrible, I have yet to find anything worth buying there. Well, not true -- what may be worth buying was considerably out of my price range. I'm not terribly enchanged by their style, though, and as far as shoe stores go, there are definitely better options, both in terms of price as well as variety and selection. more

Williams shoes is a very good specialty shoe store in downtown Evanston. They have a good selection especially on casual and comfort shoes. For good prices, wait for the end of season when they have gradual markdowns. You can find good brands like Ecco, Born, Clark's both for women and men. more
