Small but easy 4/17/2006

The only airports I was ever exposed to were large and chaotic. Going to Willard Airport University of Illinois was a huge wake up call. I didn't know airport could be so small and yet so convenient was able to get in and to my flight within 20 minutes. I liked that my husband could drop me off out front help me in and then leave without paying for parking. Although night parking is not that bad either. I did noticed that it is more expensive to fly to this airport then say Chicago but if you calculate gas and parking it is worth the money. The service at the desk was great, they have car rental there for you. I like the new check yourself in area so you can do everything yourself, it is fast and easy. I also like not having to hoof it to a gate to make a flight. I'll pay the extra money for the cozy, stress free airport anytime. I wish most airports were like this one. more

Easy access for CU'ers 4/10/2006

After I moved away from CU I realized how great this airport is. You can park near the terminal, you can curbside park for 30 minutes, the line for security is never more than 10 people long (and usually more like 1 person long), the line to check in is never more than 10 people long, and it's just so easy in/easy out. The drawback, of course, is that you are very limited in where you can fly. Unless you are flying to Chicago, Detroit, or St. Louis, you'll have to connect to your final destination through one of those cities. For people who live in the CU area though this is MUCH better than driving to chicago or st. louis to catch a direct flight somewhere else. This is a stress free way to fly! more

nice airport 12/22/2005

It is not a large airport. Therefore many air tickets from here is more expensive than those from Chicago. the airport has a parking lot, with a policy free for the first 10 minutes. Inside the airport building, it is cozy and warm. There is a restaurant at the second floor. The airport service staff is very friendly. more
