I am so glad I called Walt's. I read their reviews on Yahoo, and thought I would call them when my refrigerator quit working properly. Freezer was frozen, and fridge was warm. lol The Repair Tech knew exactly what the problem was over the phone, and it was all repaired, up and working the very next day. And I have to say the same part failed 10 years ago when I lived in the Bend area, and it cost me $300 to repair. Walt's was less than $200! I am very happy! super A+++ service, have used these guys 3x since the beginning of the year. Gave us all our options on our many craigslist purchases, and ended up saved us a ton of money on purchasing new appliances and the technician was very knowledgeable about our brands. Super honest repair people cleaned out full washer drain and left all the jewelry including wedding ring that was caught in trap. Walt's Appliance has treated us well for 18 years. We have had called upon Walt's for in home repairs of household appliances and we have purchased new appliances from them over the years. I was online searching for an online appliance parts store to get a replacement part for our washing machine when my husband came home from work and suggested I check with Walt's. \r \r I didn't expect they would have this part in stock at their small store but we called and sure enough they had it. Twenty minutes later my husband was home again installing the new part. \r \r I, too, recommend Walt's. I like to shop locally when possible and it is great to have such dependable folks in business near by. more

I read other reviews and called Walt's thinking I had found a company I could trust. Unfortunately, the repairman did exactly what I feared: he told me I needed to completely replace my motor control board and the wax motor and that since the machine was 11 years old I should just buy a new one for $1400 or so. Since the problem was just a blown fuse on the motor control board I showed him the door. Within 24 hours I replaced the motor control board w/a good used one for $50. I will not call Walt's again. more

Walt?s is GREAT!!! Buy from them. Ten years ago in 1999, I bought a used washing machine and a used clothes dryer from Walt?s Sherwood Appliance and Repair. When choosing the used clothes dryer, I decided on the one that was $50 cheaper than the other one they had available. One to two weeks after delivery, the dryer stopped working properly (kept turning off before the clothes were dry). I called Walt?s. Within a few days with no fuss or argument, they delivered the other used clothes dryer to my home, picked up the one that wasn?t working properly, and did NOT charge me the extra $50 for the clothes dryer they brought out. Why am I telling you this story now? Because I tell everyone I know this story; yes, even ten years afterwards. I tell everyone I know to buy from Walt?s because they are responsible, reputable and reliable. I have purchased another washer from them in the last ten years also. they have been here many times to service the poor kitchen-aid appliances that came with our house. Always fair and on time. Friendly. Today I called for my broken dishwasher. They can't get here for at least a few days. you know what? I am going to wait instead of trying someone else! That's how highly we think of the people at Walt's! more

We have had two great experiences with Walts. The first was about 1 year ago when we bought our fridge from them. Not only did they have the price 50$ cheaper then their competitors, they also stayed open an extra 1 hour because I was late and stuck in traffic when I came to pick up the fridge. \r \r The 2nd experience was this last week. Our washing machine broke and so I called around to get quotes on how much it would be to fix it. I called four different places and all were about the same price, when I called Walts, they said "it is under warrenty from the manufacturer". The washing machince was over 8 years old and I had no idea it was under warrenty. No other company offered up this information. They saved me over $200 and they came out sooner then anyone else could. \r \r I highly recommend more

This was a great place to go. The staff was helpful. We ended up not needing to get our dishwasher replaced - we were able to repair it for a lot less - because of their honesty. We also got a second fridge/freeze for our garage and they were great with helping us select. No high pressure sales. more

If you need a new appliance or just need an older one fixed I suggest contacting Walt's first and shopping locally. Their prices are very competitive with the big box stores so try shopping locally first. more

Last year (May 2007)I bought a refrigerator, stove and dishwasher from Walt's and found them very helpful. I appreciated their delivery and take-away of my old appliances, and they did a fine job installing. Their prices for the very same models that were carried at Sears were considerably lower!\r \r This year, (August 2008) I needed a new water filter for the water dispenser/ice maker, which they had in stock. \r \r (I'd ordered replacement on-line from someone else and they SHIPPED ME THE WRONG ITEM, even with model number supplied!) more

Great little appliance business that has been around forever. They have a decent selection of items and reasonable prices. They are willing to negotiate with you on prices and are always helpful and friendly. They also carry a selection of parts to fix your broken appliances. more
