I was in Vail for a long weekend with my boyfriend and he told me we were going to wildflower. I didn't know a lot about it but the service, the food and the wine list blew me away. It was worth the money and we will be going back again. One of the most romantic dinners we have ever had!! Pros: Romantic, great wine list Cons: pricey but worth it more

lovely experience 8/18/2002

I had lunch at the wildflower on Saturday afternoon with a group of seven. We sat outside on the patio well protected from the sun. The food was excellent though not huge servings (expecially the vegetable ravioli). The service was very good but the ambience and location were the big hit. It would be a wonderful place for a glass of wine with the meal. Several wedding parties filed by so that also added to the ambience as well. Westword recommended this restuarant as best outdoor dining in a rural setting. I loved it and add my recommendation as well. Pros: beautiful site, service, food quality Cons: portion size, expensive more

The menu features Colorado lamb atop potato gnocchi and a pan roasted Atlantic salmon served with an Asian vegetable tortellini. The chicken breast is seared in a tangy mustard demi-glace and served with horseradish mashed potatoes that complement perfectly.
