The owner, Joyce, hears all about things happening in the natural world from her constant stream of regular customers. If you've got a question about birds, insects, mammals, turtles, or the mill pond's ducks, she can surely answer it!
The coolest thing about going into her store right now (August, 2012) is that she has a telescope pointed at the osprey nest atop a cell phone tower about a quarter of a mile away. Three chicks are hatched and ready to start testing their wings any day now. Don't miss it! I'm hoping they practice catching fish in the Brighton mill pond so we can watch them in action.
She has all you could ever want to have for your garden, bird feeder or nature bookshelf. It's a great store to visit and there are lots of things you could give as gifts to friends and family. Lots of bird and critter foods, too. It's well worth the trip to Brighton and you can walk the helf mile mill pond trail while in town to make a great day of it.
