We hired Alpine Adventures for a rafting trip in late July. When we reached their office on Hwy 2 we knew it was not going to be a pleasant experience. It is a dirty shack with stuff thrown all around. They just didn't have their act together even though we had advance reservations and they knew we were coming. We then got on a rickety van with no air conditioning to the rafting location.
The main guide who is in charge has serious anger management issues. All through the trip he was yelling at us as well as his own team. It surprises me how such people continue to do business in the travel & leisure industry. The other guides were very pleasant and hospitable but the main guide ruined it for everyone.
The rafting itself was fun and the scenery very good. If we do rafting again in WA state we will definitely not consider Alpine.
