I am in from NY visiting my parents with my kids! My parents offered to watch the kids so I can have some ""me time"". I hadn't had a haircut since August, so I felt that was a good choice. I did some research on Yelp and thought this place sounded great! Liz(the owner) got great reviews, so I went to her.\r

When I got there, my hair was up in a pony tail with a ton of hair spray in it because I was running around with my kids that morning. Liz sat me down in the chair and I took out my pony tail. I told her I was unhappy with my last cut in August and that I wanted something FRESH and new! I told her a few styles I've liked in the past but that I was a mom and wanted something that I can also do quick if need be. \r

Then she began cutting!!! She didn't even wash my hair! She then stated she had to cut it dry because she had to see what she was dealing with. So I figured maybe this was how it worked in Florida and that she was just going to trim a little and then wash and really style it. NOPE. Then she pulled out the flat iron....ON DIRTY HAIR WITH HAIRSPRAY IN IT!!! I was in shock at that point and asked her if she was planning on washing it. She then said again that she needed to cut it dry. She basically trimmed some of the layers I already had and didn't like and moved my hair around a lot. It was almost like she really had no idea what she was doing. \r

At the end, she put some wax in the back to show me how I can flip it out since that was one of the styles I told her I liked in the past. THEN she asked me if I still wanted it washed and said it looked really cute! At that point, I couldn't wait to get out of there so I said I would wash it at home.\r

My one hour of ME time turned into a complete disaster with no pampering...\r
It was so bad, that my mom even asked me when I walked in the door if I got my hair cut at all!! She charged me $40 for this horrible cut. \r

The next day I called to complain to the owner about Liz only to find out she was the owner. I told the receptionist about my experience and she was apologetic about it and offered to have the co owner (her daughter) call me back since she said they don't give refunds. She explained that they normally offer you to come back for free when situations like this happen. I said that was fine and I look forward to speaking with her daughter. \r

10 minutes later, LIZ CALLS! She called to basically asked why I didn't like it and tried to defend herself by stating that my hair was in such bad shape she had to cut it like that. I told her all the reasons why I was upset. I told her how I walked in there wanted something fresh and new and came out looking the same and how she flat ironed hair with a ton of hairspray in it which damaged my hair. She just continued to try and defend herself and then said maybe there was a miscommunication. At the end of the call she just said sorry. She didn't offer for me to come in to get it fixed or even offer me another service to make up for this disaster. \r

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone considering the OWNER doesn't know what she is doing. She should have given me a refund or offered a sincere apology and offered me something to make up for it. STAY AWAY!
