this place is only for the people who are female activists and and want only woman to rule the world and to get rid of all men so they can make clones instead and only have women.. yeah, really this place is pretty freaky. i wouldnt suggest going here if you are a man. unless you are gay that is. because they might (underline Might) accept you, if you act girly enough. they just hate men. i went here once, looking for a new boook store to visit, and they were incredibly rude to me bceause i am a man. more

so-so 4/16/2006

not the best i've seen in feminist lit. it couldn't have been designed better could it have been? (please note my sarcasm,thanks.) the location, well, pretty much sucks. and the workers are jerks. i was looking for friendly people to discuss my views with, and well. they pretty much hate everyone i think. please remember, this is my personal opinon. but lets get something better going on in this town! more

Feminist Bookstore 3/24/2006

Wild Iris is the longest running feminst bookstore in Florida and it's just down the street from the University of Florida. Great women's books, feminist theory, best sellers, children's books and textbooks too. You can find female positive and gay positive gifts, movies and cards too. Wild Iris often has book signings, poetry readings and Independent Musicians playing in the backroom. This is not a bookstore you want to miss. more

A classic institution in Gainesville, Wild Iris Books carries all sorts of books written by women (from Jane Austen to Sylvia Plath) and scholary texts about feminist topics. The owners are really knowledgable, and they will make every effort to find you a book if they don't have it in the store more

An institution in Gainesville, Wild Iris carries all sorts of feminist literature or books just written by women. You can find poetry, fiction, scholary books about feminist issues. The staff is very knowledgeable, and they will make every effort to find whatever book you need if it's not in the store. more
