This one is a keeper. We've been trying a lot of new restaurants over Groupon and Living Social deals lately. Although we try to find fine dining, and upper scale restaurants, unfortunately majority of them sucks terribly. I'm glad to see that this one is just fine. We bought the deal a fe weeks ago, and we've been waiting for a nicer weather for outside dining. FInally gave it a try this weekend. Very tasty Chinese food, I should say. No need to order from their entree menu, as the starters are just as big for an average $10, which is perfectly fine for Las Olas. They also have an extensive selection of sushi or other appetizers (real appetizer size this time) for $6. We tried total of 4 dishes, all were good, and I can't wait to try some more from their, menu. Especially more fresh tempura :) more

Had a great experience. Food was delicious. Waiter was wonderful (Joel) would definitely go back next time I come to fort lauderdale. more

RUDE Management, Unprofessional 10/12/2010

We dine on Las Olas several times a week and host parties/dinners quite often. \r \r Hosted a dinner here and discovered a member of the management- PETER- was extremely unprofessional, played games, wrongfully charged our credit card and then insulted my spouse for asking to see an itemized bill. NEVER will we return nor will we recommend this place to ANYONE. \r \r On a side note: Our waitress was VERY good, and did a great job. It is a shame Peter ruins the image for the restaurant as a whole. Even the waitstaff was horrified at Peter's actions. more

Wild East has a huge selection and now a picture menu of many of the items. Most tables have a canal view and you can dine outside along the canal. The food is tasty and not a huge portion that I am wasting food. I like to order seafood and I find that it does not do well as leftovers like chicken or beef does. \r \r Not sure why the fork and knife were delivered once we sat down. The chopsticks were all we needed. \r \r Some salt/pepper/soya sauce would have been nice on the table as not everyone has the same palate as the chef. more

Enjoyable. I agree with several reviews that the service and food are not perfect, but the waitstaff is friendly, the food is *good*, the setting modern and zen without being pretentious. Worth a try. more

I visited Wild East for lunch with my wife and another couple. We each ordered a meal. Two of the meals came out. THIRTY MINUTES LATER the other two meals came out!!! Clearly, the first two meals had gotten cold so we needed new plates. They took the plates away and never returned to the table. I went to speak to the manager and she said she would get us new meals but they just brought back the same disgusting plates they had just taken from us. When I pointed this out, she told me that she would take care of our bill. However, the bill came and we were charged the full amount, which was $88 FOR LUNCH. I showed her the bill and she told me the owner wouldn't let her discount it. We spoke to the owner and he was very rude. He reluctantly took $10 off rudely sent us out of his restaurant. The food was bland, overpriced, cold, and small. The service was awful. I couldve looked past most of this if not for the incredibly rude owner. I WILL NEVER REVISIT THIS RESTAURANT!!! more

Nice decor and trendy locale however the food was greasy and salty. I could see the oil on the baby shrimp cups. Crispy calamari were salty too. If you like salty food this is your spot. Overall the flavors were good but outdone by salt. more

I find the previous post about fast service unbelievable. This afternoon our party of 3 waited 25 min to be seated while half the tables were empty. Once seated we waited an hour for 3 simple dishes and once a server (not our waiter) came with the wrong order. Never returning to this restaurant. Much better options on Las Olas Blvd. A great disappointment. more
